Hi everyone,

It's been a tough few days. I was supposed to start work on Monday, and got all ready, mentally and physically and my boss wanted me to wait till Tuesday! So instead of work on Monday, I went to town, shopping, chiro appt, transporting kids, and topped it off with Aqua Works ( not therapy) more like aqua aerobics.

In the water you are weightless so excesise is much easier so I pushed myself and felt very proud. I bet you know where this is going!

I woke in the middle of the night with excruciating pain. My spine from my neck to tailbone was inflamed!!! My Rheumy gives me nothing for breakthrough pain, except muscle relaxer. I thought I was crawling out of my skin. It was horrible. I didn't sleep and couldn't go to work the next day!! I slept most of Tues and trying to rest and recover.

I did go to work for three hours, today Wed yah!!! it wa okay. I tried to keep a low profile. The secretaries sent the word out not to ask questions, and that I was nervous. someone made the comment about how nice it must be getting paid for not working, which was kind of rude but that was all. Next week I'll try for two days.

Then to chiro, and home! I told my chiro i need a break. Ive had 35 visits with him and im still not where i shoukd be!! But I'm exhausted. Maybe chiro cant help what I have!! That should be another discussion.

Thanks everyone for rooting for me for my first day back and for the good advice. You continue to be the best as I figure out what the hell is going on with me!!!

Be well in mind and spirit even though your body fights you daily with pain....love and light. Julz.

Julzy-y-y-y-y-y Of course you should have known better. We've All been guilty of overdoing it. Your head was wrapped around going back to work and how "you must" be feeling better to do that so-o-o-o ....you also decided to conquer the world the day before going back. Enough sarcasm out of me.!!!! I truly feel terrible that you overexerted and are now paying for it. I don't know why your %$!?;Sad%$# doctor won't give you breakthrough meds. They are almost more important than the long acting meds.

We were all anxious to hear about your first day back, and how you were received. I'm so glad that people behaved themselves (mostly). hope fully, you will get some rest from now until you try it again next week.

As far as your chiropractor........(I'm sure I'll get lots of opinions because noone in the group is shy.). I am not a believer, except for small adjustments and where there is definitely NO danger of them doing any more harm. I forgot what your other physical issues are and I was too lazy to back to your profile to read it. Be careful of chiropractors! ( my own family will be after me for that)

Feel better! Geri

Julzy,

I am sorry that you ended up back in bed on your first day...Yes, we knew exactly where you were going; we've all lived it..

I have to agree with Geri..I'm not a fan of chiros, however, I know people that swear by them. I just worry if you have been there 35 times, and no better....well, you know where I'm going....LOL

I hope next week is better, and you are able to stay and work. Don't worry about the comments, those people are just ignorant. Let us know how you are doing. We are rooting for you!! HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

CUTE Angel!! I think I would make a better doctor than I am a patient, though.

I'm a FIRM believer in chiropracters.....have a long history with them....BUT...just like reg. Dr.'s there are good ones and bad ones out there....if yours hasn't helped you in that many treatments I'd be wondering if it's worth it? My hubby had bone spurs on lower spine, and after 3 months of treatments was able to avoid surgury and is pain free....but our chiropracter did tell him at the beginning he wasn't sure if treatments would work but hubby was willing to try and avoid surg....find a good one who will be honest and not have you coming back all the time. I was told by ours that I needed a a massage, not chiropractic treatments due to my muscles so tight all the time....LOL

Please HELP ME on this discussion on chiros Sad

First, thank you for all your kind responses and caring thoughts. Now I have a major problem!

I went to my second chiro appt for the week / one of three. I really like the practice but I to,d him I needed a break. We talked and decided I would check in once every few weeks.....fine.

Went home, did very little. Went to bed and woke at 3 in the morning with excruitiating pain in my left hip. I couldn't move it was soooo bad!! I finally fell back asleep.

At 6 in the morning my husband's phone alarm goes off on his side of the bed. He was already up and downstairs. I moved to turn it off and was stuck! A sharp, deep back was still on my hip! The alarm kept goin. I then rolled over in pain and turned it off. I rolled back to get more sleep. Relizing too late......

Ermm I still couldn't move!! !!!! And I had no phone with me....!!!!!!! I felt like the go in the movie MIsery!!

I yelled, I called and no one came. I painfully reached for my phone and woke my son up to get my husband. He helped me to stand but my back and hips felt awful like something was definately wrong!

I limped around and worked it out a little...biput now lying here on ice and then heat....feeling as depressed as ever!!! And can barely move!

I am calling the chiro first thing and hoping to get in for a acupunture treatment.....NO MORE CHIRO FOR ME!!!! I decided.

Angry Angry

Question for all of you: does this sound like a flare of fibro????????

Has anyone been treating for fibro by a chiro???

My acupunture said the chiro adjusts Me but then my inflamed muscles pull spine back out of alignment, so I should stop chiro. What do you all think. I'm really curious....

Thanks my dear fibro friends.. Xoxoxo. I just started laughing bc this is all sooo crazy!!!!!
