Big thanks to all the "hugs" I've been receiving. They have really meant a lot these last few weeks. You all were sending them not knowing that I was going through a serious life or death situation. I got a DVT (blood clot from my groin all the way to my ancle). This led to three pulmonary embolisms. They had to do a procedure to remove the clot. I was in the hospital for eleven days, half in the icu. I'm. 27 and they say that if I was older I for sure would have died and as it is I'm lucky to be here. I'm still recovering and can't do a whole lot. This,on top of everything else, had me really depressed. I'm trying to be more positive now. Just wanted to let you all know that your support helped in a time when you didn't even know how much it was needed.

Thanks

I am NOT broken, just a bit more fragile than most.

I'm an ex-truck driver and DVTs are a huge danger for truckers, or anyone who sits around a lot (like a bunch of Fibromites I know). DVTs are Deep Vein Thrombosis, or blood clots that usually form in the leg and can break off chunks and travel to the lung, cuasing embolism, heart, causing heart attacks, or brain, causing strokes.

I'm sure the docs probably have you in compression stockings now, and tell you to move more, walk, anything to keep the blood circulating in the legs.

Take care of yourself. Those things are definately something you don't want to ignore.

I am not a medical doctor and any medical opinion I give is based on personal experience and/or research. It is not intended to suppliment or replace your doctor. Follow at your own risk.

Glad that you are getting better! What a scary thing. I'm glad that they found them and got to them in time.

Glad we could be a part of keeping you positive when you needed it the most. Thankfully the docs were able to get to the DVT and the embolisms in time and that you are doing better. Stay strong and positive you are over the worst of it now and we are all still here for you sending out prayers and positive energy. Hugs and Love.

Wow, you have been through it. I am glad they got you under control. Make sure you take it easy and listen to your doctor although I know it is a hard thing to do.
