Hi,

I am so amazed at your positive attitude. I feel like such a "weak" person because I feel like I lost my up-beat personality due to Fibromyalgia. In the morning, I try to think positive but by the evening I am ready to scream. I don't have that many people in my life who understand or support me. I've lost a few friends because of this. My husband walked out on me (in the middle of the night) about two years ago. He couldn't handle it because I could not remain his maid. My Rhuematologist is a big believer in less medicine is better. He does not prescribe anything stronger than an anti-inflammatory. It does absolutely nothing! I feel like you could inspire me with your attitude. If you could share anything else with me, I would appreciate it. I'm so tired of being depressed.

Thanks.

Terri

You need to get another rheumy. It usually takes a mixture of things to see what works. Make yourself a goal everyday and when you meet that one goal you can be proud of yourself. People with fibro usually learn to be more empathic of others. I bet you can help others in a way others cant. Think of things you still can do. . I found new things to do that I could enjoy. It is a big adjustment but it can be done. I hope this helps you. Finding people who understand frustrations help. Laughing at the fibro fog things help too. Look at the post on You know that its bad when. Good luck. Feel free to pm me.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

Terri, I know how hard it is! In my opinion, those few friends that you lost do to the Fibro, were not true friends or they would have stuck by you through this. That is how I looked at it when some of my friends and I drifted apart. Even if we can't go out and party, our friends can still visit and order out. Look at all of the new friends that you have made here! and we all feel your pain and understand what you are going thru! Hang in there. Anytime you need to vent, chat or just need a hug, let me know. I'm just a click away!
