Hey there and welcome. Does the arm/leg where it burns turn red at any time? My suggestion would be to see a neuro and do some nerve studies.

Grammie19,

Welcome to the group. I know I have a lot of burning sensation on my skin. Seems to be mostly in my arms, and shoulders. I know it is a terrible feeling. Does it feel like your skin is sunburnt?

You may want to see a rheumatologist if you haven't already. There are so many different "cocktails" of meds for us, and each person is different. What works for me, will prolly not work for you. If what you have is not working, they need to try something else. This is a trial and error only disease. There is no magical combonation. You may ask your GP for a referral to a rheumy, or at least treat you for fibro. You have to be careful, cuz some drs still do not believe in fibro, or take it seriously. The first step is to find a dr that believes and will treat you. Good luck and let us know how you are doing. We would love to get to know you better. HUGS

Hi, and welcome, I get the burning crazy skin--it is awful! Do you have a rheumy or pain specialist?

I get a burning sensation on my thumb on my left hand and my ring finger on my right hand repeatedly - happens a lot for a few days, then it will go away for a few days. No red skin, just feels like someone is holding a lighter to my skin, then it goes away as quickly as it came. I have had this in other areas, but it happens in those two areas a lot, and always in the exact same spots.
