On Wednesday I went to Las Cruces to see two diffrent docs one for my Basal Cell and the other was my Pain management doctor. The P.M. got back my results of my blood tests and this is what he found. I do not have Diabeties, My Thyroid is good, My Platelets are good, heres the kicker he did a test on my hormones and as some of you might or might not know we have testosterone The level for a woman is suppose to be 2.5 to 4.6 well mine wasnt that at all, Mine was .08 which is realy bad. I just couldnt figure out why I was taking so many pain pills and its because the receptors in my spine and brain are gone, I have none so when I take my meds they dont have anything to stick to to tell my body the pain meds are working, so what it boils down to is this There is no message going to my body about stopping the pain, so it never stops, He gave me a script for a gel to use for now but am waitting to see if my insurance will pay for it, again its all about the insurance. Im also going to P.T. and I have to tell you I just cant take the pain anymore. the doc gave me Morphine to take but its not working either, so until this is fixed Im going to stay in pain. I dont know if my mind can stand this at all. You might ask your doctor to run this blood test for the hormones on you and see where your level is, this might be why your meds arent working either. he also said my Fibro fog is going to be out of this world well yes it is. desertmom !!!

I am so sorry that nothing is helping for the pain.

I know that my hormones are out of wack but that's because I have PCOS and for me I produce to much testosterone which bites. All my hormones were so out of whack that I was unable to have any more children but I've got one and I have a step-son so I've got all the kids I need.

I have had morphine when I had past surgeries and I gotta say that yes it takes away the pain for me but it made me sick one time that they were giving it to me. So I'm leary of morphine but it does take away the pain for me anyway.

My fibro fog has been crazy I can't even remember where I put my keys when I'm going into the store so I freak out looking for them.

Thanks girls, I have faith in this new doctor I guess its because of all the years of them not even running one test for anything unusual in my blood other than the norm stuff like cholestrol or a CBC for my platelets.still waitting for comfermation from the insurance I just know if I could get started the sooner my receptors will appear.

So sorry it is so expensive. Can you contact the drug company and see if you can get it for less? I truly feel for you. It is frustrating when something will help but too expensive. Good luck with the shot.
