I feel like throwing up now. I can't believe I put myself out there, but I felt it was better than feeling people were gossiping and getting misinformation about my health. It is about 1,000 words. I posted it in my diary if you want to read it. You may be able to cut and paste change a few things and use it to share with your family or friends?

Feel weird now, like naked in public weird.

Congratulations. This is a big step in taking control of your illness and the information people around you have.

Maybe in a couple weeks you can post informative links. One of my favorites is from fibroknowledge.com. Very simple videos and slide show. A lengthy bit of information is the expanded symptoms list. http://abarnabas.tripod.com/indexfibrosymptoms.html

Just hold off, let them digest what you posted. In a couple weeks post something, in a month post something, wait a few months and post something. Your REAL friends and family will be accepting.

Thanks FiboCSF and girlfriend and thanks for the links. Yes, I gave them the option to de friend me but said I hope they don't and said they could also follow my blog if they wanted to during this "radio silence" on my part. I was just thinking that too FibroCFS I showed my underbelly and now we will see who really cares and who just thinks I am a crazy hypochondriac. I like that I did take control that feels good.

Lily, I imagine what you're feeling, and why you did it, are similiar to what a gay person feels when they come out of the closet, or what I felt when I decided to quit hiding that I was a pagan, and not a christian (my entire family are southern baptist, and not very accepting of ANY other religious choice). My mother even disowned me for a while and said some rather nasty things, although in the last few months, she's apologized and we are taking baby steps to repair the relationship.

I applaude you for taking the step. I know how hard that must've been. But, in the end, it'll be for the best. *gentle hugs* Hang in there. We'll always be here for you.

I am not a medical doctor and any medical opinion I give is based on personal experience and/or research. It is not intended to suppliment or replace your doctor. Follow at your own risk.

People will do what they will so don't spend too much time on what they will think or do. You can't control anyone or their thoughts. I hope you feel some weight off your shoulders now.
