I originally started out taking flexeril which worked pretty well. Then I went to the ER one night and they switched me to to Robaxin. It doesn't seem to do anything for me. I want to ask my doctor to switch me back, but I wanted to get some opinions on the two medications. Any opinions or suggestions?

I was prescribed robaxin first and found it pretty useless- but 750mgs, understand some take 1500mgs, then flexeril- I found a lot of relief at first, but doesn't seem to be working for me as much anymore For the fibro (been on about week and half). They were prescribed actually for a possible pinched nerve in my neck (awaiting official test results)... Not sure this post is of any help! Basically flexeril wins for me- but if u r on 750mgs, maybe ask (with all your other Meds) if you can take 1500- may work better???? Good luck!! Hope you feel better.

Originally in the ER they told me to take two of the 750mg, but my docto reduced it to one. I still think the Flexeril helped more I might ask to go back to that

I don't understand why the ER would change what your doctor prescribed. I say, if the flexeril works the best, stay with that.

The robaxin supposedly has an added effect that helps sleep. I say supposedly because it did nothing for me. The flex makes me too sleepy so I'll be asking for a step down. I think you go with what works best for you.

The Robaxin does nothing for sleep or tension. I take it at night and I'm still stiff in the morning. When I take it in the morning I feel nothing. I think I'm going to ask to go back to flexeril
