MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I've been experiencing muscle spasms for quite some time now. They usually come at night and sometimes during the day.

But last night. I hurt SO bad! I was awake until 3:30am. And I was having spasms in my legs and my arms. I'm still having them in my arms.

I'm so frustrated and hurting so bad, sometimes I just want to give up. The thing about giving up though... that takes thought and I'd probably give myself a migraine thinking!

Sorry for venting my frustration there. I really just wanted to know if anyone else experiences really bad muscle spasms and what time of day you have them.

I do take Tizanidine at night. But that doesn't solve the daytime issue. They came out with a new drug (don't remember the name) that you take in the morning and it is time released and works all day. But I guess it's not even 6 months old and therefore is really expensive.

Thanks for listening to me.

Amy

I have muscle spasms all the time too. I had taken skelaxin but it wasnt strong enough for me. I used soma and it worked well for me. My new dr wants me to use zanaflex.I take it 3x a day. It really makes my mouth dry. I think it does help but I still like soma better.

Yes it is.I have been on both. I like the soma better. It really helps me much better.I have to use full strength of skelaxin to even work at all. Even then i still have bad spasms. With soma I actually have them lessen. It comes in generic too.

Does Soma or Skelaxin make you tired? I can take the Tizanidine during the day if it gets really bad. But I'm basically done for the day then, cause it just knocks me out.

Skelaxin doesn't make me tired... which is one of the reasons I've stayed on it for so long. .

I love soma. yeah i get the muscle spasms too, they wake me up alot at night and just irratate me during the day. Heat helps. a couple of years ago when i was walking everyday i noticed the spasms where not as bad, i don't know if it was the walking or not. it was 15 degrees warmer where we lived then. I have read about lactic acid building up in the muscles and magniseum (spell?) i think is what helps, that reminds me, i need to order some more.

I get them. I have a script for Zanaflex, I've tried every other muscle relaxer and that's the only one that works worth a darn. But they make me tired. But it's either not hurt or hurt.....ok I'm having a bad day today.
