Just finished my 7day free trial of Lyrica this a.m. (no, I d/n call my doc for more..read on) I am in more pain now than I was when I started. I was taking 75mg 2x/day. Has anyone taken Lyrica and found the pain to get worse? Or, b/c I am new to this pain (on and off this year, but now everyday) is it getting worse b/c I have not felt the full effect of the pain yet? Does that make sense? Btw...my doc has not officially dx me w/fibro.

I know I only took it for a week, but thought it weird that I would become more painful on it. Pretty much spent the past two days in bed.

Dizzy. Any replies are greatly appreciated!

Try to see a Rheumatologist and get a correct diagnosis.

Have the Doctor do the "Tender Points" test.

Call your Doctor tomorrow morning and tell him or her what you are experiencing.

Please let me know what happens. I am so sorry for your increased pain.

I haven't heard specifically of that. Or at least I can't recall anything. Some people do however have a paradoxyl reaction to various meds. Meaning that the opposite of what it's meant for happens. An example being muscle relaxers sometimes cause cramps in some people for whatever reason. So I suppose that it could be that. Or you could be going into a flare.

I personally haven't tried lyrica, but I've read either here or on another forum where someone did have increased pain with lyrica.
