I have been having more painful days than good days lately. Does everyone else have more pain when it is cold? is it normal? I still haven't gotten in to see my doctor for something to help with the pain. I think he is thinking about Lyrica. I have been using a heating blanket to help with the aches and pains. I can't take baths because of other medical issues, but I do take hot showers, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I take Elmiron, Atarax, and Elivil for interstitial cystitis. I also take oxycodone for pain, several other meds for other conditions.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Elmiron 100mg 3x day
Atarax 25mg once a day
Elivil 25mg once a day
Effexor 150mg at night
Lisinopril 20 mg once a day
Baclofen 20mg 3x a day
Phenazopyridine 200mg 3x a day
Omeprazole 20mg once a day

The Cold seems to be a trigger for me. I certainly ache a lot more with the cold. More warm baths or hot showers for me! Lots of blankets too! Dress warmly. I recommend tighter clothing cause the pressure seems to help me out.

Lyrica has worked very well with me. I hope your doctor can find something to help your pain!

The cold always does it. I always go for an epsom salt bath with water so hot I can barely stand it. I always thought that it was just to the rapid pressure change (I live in south florida), because when it rains the same thing happens. I wish I could be more help, but I hope you feel better soon.

The cold does a serious number on me but what it's from I don't know as I have multiple conditions that cold can affect. Heating pads, heated blankets, dressing warmer, eating warm foods like soups and drinking coffee or cocoa help.

cold is like a frozen hell,lol..I think because it doesnt change but gets colder at least with other changing weather it goes up or down but not down and down, plus then it gets dark earlier or the wind that cuts through no matter how much close we wear..for me with the nerve damage I have It is like an ice cold in the bones,so the weather just makes it worse
we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think
