 Hi Karen

I was a little suprised by my rheumatologists statement too, he has continually said that I don't fit the usual profile for someone with fibro, he has also said that he thinks I have more of a 'pain disorder'. However the Lyrica is working although I'm still juggling the best time to take it so I get a better result with the sleeping and fatigue which really hits me big time. I've also put on weight with the lyrica....about 1 kg...

 ok....! so i like snicker bars! haha, seriously.. i have gained weight. i am almost always on a lowfat, low carbs, etc... diet. but still i seem to be getting fatter and fatter! I DON"T CARE! the pain relief is worth it, really. there is no way i would stop taking the Lyrica. love the stuff, seems silly writing this because a case of it wouldn't help today. but thats ok, i just imagine how much worse it would be if i didn't have it at all.

hoping we all have a fine day tomorrow.

 I'm depressed I weighed myself today and I've put on another 2 kilos, I'm currently going to contours 3 times a week because that's all I can manage with full time work. I don't see my rheumatologist until October and am thinking of ceasing the Lyrica....but I think to myself....then what????......I'm so over this today, headache last night that 4 nurofin plus didn't budge am at work today and feel so fuzzy and tired.....

 been on Lyrica for 6 weeks. i gained weight at first, but now the opposite is happening. i've lost 8 pounds and still feeling a little better. try giving it a little more time.

 Hello, my name is Kathy, and I have had Fibro for 11 years, it was just recently that my regular Dr. sent me to a pain Dr. and as it turned out my pain Dr. has Fibro. Good for me but bad for her, She put me on Neurontin 300 and so far it has been good for me. For the last year I have been experiencing Fibro Fog, when I am tired or hurting I can't remember how to say anything, I forget my grand children's names or the name of a utensil I am using it is getting worse, has anyone had this happen to them? Thank you for listening.

 hi kathy, just stopping in before i go to bed, welcome! we have made fun of ourselves here in a couple of place with our fibro fog... but it is what it is. I am sorry that you are going through this. just come on in, and look around, we sure talk about a lot of stuff that i think that will be useful.

 Glad to know I'm not the only crazy out there lol. I am just very glad that my husband is so supportive, when I start stuttering he just laughs and says easy for you to say .

 Ha...sounds like my husband. Only he tells me he's sorry I'm "special" and laughs with me! Anyhow, welcome to the group. Now you know you're not alone and we're all crazy right beside you!!
