Hey there. I think that once you get on meds for the RA as well, it'll help the overall. RA causes pain and fatigue as well so your getting a double whammy. We know how hard this is. Most of us have more then FM wrong with us too. I have somewhere around 20 diagnosises and I'm only 30. You are not worthless. You're just hitting a bump in the road here. You'll find something that works for you and feel better. Now you'll probably always have some pain, but you'll find something that will make it much more tolerable. Feel free to vent, cry, laugh, or whatever you need to do here. There's nothing that you can say or ask that someone here hasn't been through.

Hi, welcome Smile. This is a great place to get support, vent, get reassurance, and generally talk to others who understand.

I'm sorry you are in so much pain and have overlapping issues. There are other medications that may help with your pain besides Lyrica. So try not to get discouraged. Chances are you will find the right medication or combination to help.

I think it's difficult for a five year old to understand pain the way an adult does, but I am sure you have way more value to your kids than you realize. They love you so much. They would want you to feel better. I think it's more difficult to be the one having to say no mommy can't than it is for a child to hear because your love and caring shine through more than you might feel sometimes.

Hugs and welcome.

Hi! I do have endometriosis as well as fibromyalgia (no RA though) Endo is miserable though. I have several time almost went to the ER because I was SURE something was going to explode! I did have diagnostic laparoscopy to get the endo removed a year and 4months ago. It has actually lessened the excrutiating pains but it's still bad Sad My gyno where I moved from had me on hydrocodone for periods and then tried to switch me to ponstel bc she didn't want to prescribe narcotics for endo anymore (I wish she would go throught it just once. She would FOR SURE change her mind) Ponstel was about 200 dollars so I never took it. My insurance only covered half on it.so now I take nothing for them. Starting yesterday I now take lyrica 150mg twice a day. We just upped my dosaged from the starter dose so praying that works and added tramadol. Works pretty well for me so far but everyone is different. Have you been to a rheumatologist? I would think that they would be better equiped to treat everything! I go to my first one at the end of the month Smile I know it sucks so bad. But don't give up hope there are different medications that can maybe help better than the lyrica!

Jen,

Welcome to the group. I see you have already been assured that you are welcome to share all feelings here, good, bad or otherwise. We are here for you, and sometimes just knowing you are not alone is helpful.

I am glad that you are attending church, as God is a big part of my life, and He helps me through each and everyday. I really didn't understand about the hs sweetheart. I know you said he can't talk at work, but what exactly is your relationship with him? Not being nosy..Lol, just trying to find out if he is close enough to you, or could be to be a friend to you. Again, just trying to understand, so we can be of some help.

I'm sorry you are in such pain. Like you've been told, if you work through and get the right "cocktail" of meds, there is relief. I don't know about the RA, but for the fibro temp relief comes from heating pads, epsom salt baths, and pain patches such as salonpas. Let us know how you are doing, and if you need to talk or vent, feel free to post, or pm any one of us. This is a very caring family, and welcome to it!!! HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

**Becky**

Jen, Welcome! You have come to the right place, trust me Smile I am a newbie too and came across this site and have loved it ever since! I too had endo but I also had adenomyosis...I tried all the meds, birth control pills with no periods, shots, laproscope surgery, and finally at 28 I had a partial hysterectomy, which has taken away all my pain! Smile It gave me my life back...for a while, but now a back surgery later I have fibromyalgia...but like everyone on here will tell you its all about what meds work for you and for me, I take tramadol, skelaxin, valium, and either tylenol 3 or norco for break through pain...I have tried gabapentin, cymbalta, soma, and tizanidine...I also take many epsom baths and use the heating pad often...I am getting ready for knee surgery...another issue...lol..but here is the place for all the idea's and support that you could want...hope you find it as amazing as I have...hugs to you Smile

hugs and love... how long have you been on lyrica... it doesnt work right away ad if you are on a low dose you might need it upped... or you can try cymbalta it has 2 meds in one...there are plenty of different med opitions (thankfully) I am on 300 mg a day of Lyrica 3x a day 100 mg a dose and flexril for my night sleep and pain to relax my muscles...might be a option for you... I hope you are feeling better and not as hopeless as when you first posted this... I am always around you can PM me anytim.. we all understand and some of us here have more issues to deal with them others but we all understand the pain life and meds and where this can bring us... Hugs and love hang in there kiddo Smile

hey there en

I hope you know that you have friends here I kniw it is so diffrent from sitting together and drinking coffee but hey we take what we can get..sweetie I know what it is like to have your body fail you and feel worthless but I bet to your little man you are the world..having kids and dealing with so much pain and along with that depression. I know when I started this long road I was conciderd young, though my body felt old.and being young you can have difficulties getting the help you need..do you have a good doctor? it really is a must.one that also understands the emotional part of this all.chronic pain is invisible, people dont understand what they cant see..just know we are here for you..welcome to the family

we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think
