I really don't know. Last fall I spontaneously started losing weight. I lost almost 40 lbs in just a few months. I attributed it to giving up diet soda, but I'm still off of it and now I'm gaining weight again. I kept it off for over a year, why is it coming back now? Of course I was drinking a lot of iced black tea and green tea sweetened with stevia and I've kind of slacked off of it. I wonder if that's it? I guess there's only one way to find out. Thanks for asking this question and getting me to think about this.

I know weight gain can be a side effect of some of the meds used to treat fibro, Lyrica being one of them. If you are taking any meds you could talk to your doctor and see if maybe one of them is contributing to the problem.

I can't exercise either. Sad

I am not a doctor. Please consult with your doctor before following any advice given by myself or anyone else on this or any other forum.

I couldn't exercise in the beginning, but I found that the more I layed around the worse I felt and the less motivated I was to exercise. So this week I have made myself do some crunches and some exercises for my booty. I am trying to cut down on the sugar, cut out anything fried and snack on dried fruit. We'll see if it worked, I have an appointment on Friday and they will weigh me then.

I did Weight Watchers before they closed us downWhistling and lost weight. It was really slow going but I did lose some.

I just have to be accountable to someone and going to the meetings helped. I don't have the will power to do it online.

I have actually (for some odd reason) have lost weight with my fibro. I am not on any medication though - can't take it cause like I've said before, my body is just way too sensitive to any meds, except for tummy meds.

I think my weight loss is due to sometimes I am too tired to eat and sometimes I find it difficult to stand that long to cook anything. Because of IBS and Gastroparesis, there isn't alot of processed foods I can eat, so for lunch I usually have to grill me some chicken and eat a veggie or a grilled chicken sandwich...something I have to cook.

Anyways, I keep thinking that any day though I am going to wake up and that weight is going to be right back on. This is actually very unusual for my body to do this on it's own. Go figure....
