I had a tooth pulled on my birthday, Oct 3, 2011. The next day, I had so many muscle spasms running through my neck I though I would scream. I could not breath normally, could not lie down, normally, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. I felt like a prisoner in my own body. I started going to the chiropractor who thought a fibro action had been set off. I kept seeing him and also saw my PCP who agreed. Then I saw the physical therapist who agreed with both of them. On Monday, he (the PT) is going to apply pressure to the pressure points and try to release some of them. That would be great because one of them hurts pretty badly when I try to breathe. Right now everything is quiet but when the Oxycodone wears off, it will be awful again. In fact, I'm starting to get antsy, so I think I'll take another to stay ahead of the pain. I guess I'll be more careful about having a tooth pulled in the future!W00t

Pat,

Wow, I had no idea that having a tooth pulled would start a flare! I'm so sorry that you are in so much pain. Not the greatest birthday present. Let us know if the PT can get you fixed up. Hope you feel better soon...HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

Oh no! Thats too bad that you had your tooth removed on your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday. Getting a bad flare after having the tooth removed sure stinks. How could you have known that this would happen? I sure hope your pain level decreases really really soon. I hope I do not go thru this if and when I need a tooth removed.

But this reminds me that 3 weeks ago I got the flu shot and about a week later I had a bad flare and had to stay home one day from work. I work part time and only work Mon/Wed/Fridays, so I actually had 3 days off from work and still was not feeling well last week Friday.

Please take care and rest rest rest.

Olga

Pat sweetie I'm sooo sorry what an awful thing to happen and for your birthday too. I'm praying that the PT can fix you right up and get rid of your pain. Try to stay comfortable, maybe try a heat pack or heating pad so you can get some sleep. Big hugs and lots of love

I am so happy to report that the p/t fixed me right up in one week after two visits. My son and DIL actually feel that I got sick after lifting a box of books and causing all that pain in my back. I do remember that incident but since I hide so much pain from them, the sequence is kind of confusing to me now. Anyway, I feel great and the flare is gone. I'm not taking any pain pills at all and now I am getting 8 hours of sleep. That amazes me! Thanks everyone for your concerns and wishes. You're the best!
