I recently took Savella for about 4weeks. I could not handle the severe nausea it gave meSad but I hear others swear by it. I hope you don't have the severe reaction I had and it is able to bring you some relief.

I was diagnosed this past April and was put on Savella. Within a few days, I had a bad blood pressure reaction to the norepinephrine, so I had to stop taking it. I was pretty bummed. Sad I'm afraid to try anything else now. I know it's different for everyone. I didn't have the nausea, but the elevated heart rate, dizziness and change in pressure were very scary for me. I hope it will work for you!

Thanks everyone who answered. I was taken to the ER today with sore throat and chest tightness. They think I had an allergic reaction to the Savella...or Broncitus. The ER Doctor didn't know anything about Savella and little about fibro so he said i have to follow up with my regular docter and let him see what to do.. again thanks for your kindness. I really like this place. Oh and btw I had only been on it 2 days. Took it monday night tues morning and night and weds morning before going to the ER.

I started Savella about 4 weeks ago. It made me feel a little loopy at first, and the nausea was definitely a problem...but I do seem to have adjusted. I hope you are able to find something that will help you feel better.

I took Savella for about 2 months, and after the first week I had absolutely no pain. I thought it was a miracle. Going into the second month I developed all the guy issues associated with Savella. No sex drive, inflamed prostrate, etc. Should have known it was too good to be true.

I was taken off and have been off for less than 2 weeks now. All the pains I've had for the past year and the "tingly" skin are returning.

I've been on Savella for a few months and it's helped me. I've even lost weight since I went on it! The only time I have issues is if I take it with my morning meds, then take a Percocet and go work out on an empty stomach. I can handle the Lyrica and Perc, but throw in the Savella and I get sick *sigh*

hi neon, wow, that sounds scary to have your throat spaz out on you! The thing with these drugs is it affects everyone differently. I haven't tried Savella because I started on Lyrica, it worked and I stuck with it....it's been a year now. The weight gain is the worst side effect for me. I recently increased my dose too and now take it 3x a day instead of 2.

Keep us posted on how you are doing!
