"I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain." (dwjames)

MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Hi

So many people so upset about all the pain from fibro ...me too.

But everything brings Love and Light with it.

And I believe that when we accept our challenges, that then we are better able to see all the Love. That thanking our Diety makes seeinng the Love even more clear.

Hard to do ......I know.

What good have you seen or received from having fibro????

hugs, Raoul

Having Fibro has really helped me value not only my body, but the general feeling of being well. It has opened my eyes up so much to those people who take that feeling for granted. As a 19 year old a lot of my friends go out and trash their body with alcohol and junk food and have no idea what they're doing to their bodies.

I feel so much more concious of the effects that everything has on my body because with the pain I'm in already I cannot afford to get sick with anything else nor do I want to.

It has also kept me grounded and value decisions I make, I find beauty in just the nature around me and the effort it takes to do everything.

So all in all, as much as it hurts me, I really do value those things that Fibro has taught me, when everyone is off trying to get money and being obessessed with careers and objects, it has taught me that just feeling well and the enviroment around you can be some of the most beautiful and mind blowing things.

May we all find that little place to snuggle up to and feel safe, the one place where we can truly be and forget about all our troubles

Fibro has taught me that I need to slow down my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a social butterfly or anything like that; really just the opposite. I just used to spend every waking moment on some kind of task, whether it be cleaning house, or handling business for every person in my family, etc. All this plus working a full time job. Now, I don't do much of anything. I do what I can, and forget the rest. I used to say "I will sleep when I'm dead" Now I say "I'll die if I don't sleep"
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

I think one common thing we all seem to have is that it makes you value those small things that our once busy selves would have never have appreciated fully to the point we do now.
May we all find that little place to snuggle up to and feel safe, the one place where we can truly be and forget about all our troubles

I truly love this topic cause I am one of those believers everything happends for a reason.

a few things come to mind not just one. but it is a combo of back injury nerve damage and fibro/ when I hurt my back and no longer was able to work we lost our home were absolutly broke, we had to move out of state for my husband to work and friends to live with till we could get on our feet..

with all that hard time our friends helped us get a house again and because of the house we were able to years later adopt our sons.if we were still where we were we wouldnt have the room.

also I had a bad exsperaince with a med that caused sever depression plus other mental problems. I had know idea it was happening till my best friend told me after we moved in with them..it saved my life then I had a friend who also took this med and became suicidle I was able to convince her to get off of the med and she told me I saved her life..

so much bad happends but when you ride out the ride and look back would any of that have happend probable not..we suffer for a reason though it might not be us that benifits.. and I got to meet great people I never ever would have met,I have you all now and that is pretty neat

we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think
