Fibromyalgia Support Group

i was wondering if anyone else in the fibro group has had a problem with chronic sore throats? im currently down with a sudden sore throat for two days now but no other symptoms...no one around me has it and although i understand that i can catch a sore throat anytime from anyone and for different reasons i still find it unusual i get them so frequent (6 times a year) i get them about every two months or so...along with the soreness are white spots on my tonsils and fatigue...(it isn't strep as i get tested every time). im being told that its a fibro thing and just wanted to know who else this may affect with fibro from all the girls here...look forward to responses...=)

oh yes. I get soar throats all the time especially after waking up and then they get better but I still have them. I think they have to do with the chronic fatigue but not sure. It's pretty annoying and the fatigue that comes with it is downright debilating!

I've heard the two go togehter. : /

I get sore throats often.

I don't get a sore throat often but I do constantly have a runny nose! It's not sinuses, I don't have a cold either. Does anyone else experience this?

I thought I responded to this, Mindful...it is more symptomatic of CFS from what I have read. I don't have it. You may want to pose the question in the Fibro and CFS group, just out of curiosity, to see what the response is there. It is hard sometimes to tell if it is also allergies. My daughter has bad allergies and frequently has s sore throat, so many here may not think of it as a fibro symptom, just a regular allergies. Sorry you felt neglected.

I did post something there and mentioned sore throat is CFS related. May want to check this one too.

I dont get sore throats,thankfuly!

I get ear aches and sore throats all the time with and with out a runny nose... I relate it more to allergies or colds.. I also get the white spots on the back of the throat that is not strep...i get it checked also because i do get strep every now and then...its not a fibro thing.. love these doctors that blame it on fibro...sighs

i dont have allergies....so i guess it all depends. take care, oh and thanx for the feed back.
