MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Foods that trigger my bubbly belly troubles:

Ice cream

milk

watermelon

coffee

Pepsi (sometimes)

salad

vegetables (especially leafy green)

cheeses

some fruit juice and fresh fruit

Im sure theres more, cant think of them all now.

What are your triggers?

I found out that usually during a fibro flare these foods bother me and even trigger IBS. And I learned this the hard that way that these are the foods that will always trigger my IBS: Hard/ solid dark Chocolate. Fried or greasy foods. Pork and dark meat(s) Diet drinks, all cheeses but mild cheader. Yogurt and foods made with a lot of natural sugar.

Not being able to have these in my diet isn't a deal breaker, but ya know some days you just wish you could have a little of each one them. Wink

Wow. This is so helpful for all of us. I believe that if we get a list going that we can help each other to understand this condition a lot better. Thank you all so much.

I'm an Advocate

I too am dairy intolerant so all dairy products, I don't eat meat so even though raw vegetables trigger my IBS sometimes I eat them any way. Nuts, corn even if its cooked, soda pop of any kind. I'm sure there are other foods I just can't remember them all and some days certain foods will trigger it and others won't,you can't always tell. Hope this helps someone.
