I just called called my new new doctor and asked for the replacements he was going to give me for the fentanyl patch am]nd he said 'Well, I can't give out 2 narcotics, but you can either keep the darvocetts or I can give you Vicodine 5/550"!. First off, when I changed to him, it was because he was closer. My old doc gave me the patch and darvocetts and valium to help me sleep. Well, I told this new doc unless he could give me the same thing I'll go to him. He agreed but now is reneging!! But what tops it off is my hubby sees this same doctor and e gets vicodine 7/650 and darvocetts. WHAT! My pain is less then his....well, I called my old doc and asked to see him again and their taking me in tomorrow. I just hope so bad I can get on everything I ahd before.

I don't know if you guys have experienced this prejudice against women before...like it's more psychological or something, but I have and it really has gotten to me.

I'm sorry you are in soooo much pain and he doesn't get it & that he's being an ASS.

Please write him a letter AFTER you get in with your New dr and let him know just how much distress he has caused you.

I too am sorry that you are having to deal with this. That's a damn doctor for ya!!

That does SUCK, the doctors are afraid to write pain meds too often, but to give it to your husband ??? What a jerk. Most of them think we should just take an anti-depressant or hormones. Here, let me write you a HAPPY PILL!

What gets to me is I want to tell him off and maybe write a "nice" letter and tell him how I feel. However, I don't want to rock the boat for my hubby!!!

So my only choice is to go out quietly!!! Now that SUCKS!

I'll let you guys on the update....oooooohhh, these doctors I just want to slap them so hard that their head pounds for a week then tell him take 2 tylenols and go to bed ! I feel better already

Spruce I'm sorry you got such a horrible response from your Dr. What a a jerk to treat you that way. I hope your able to to get what you need from the other dr.It's just a shame you have to further to see him too. Doesn't this idiot know what you've been going through to get off these patches and then like slap you in theface when you call for help. I'm so sorry. I will continue to keep you in my prayers that you get through this without any more frustrations

I appreciate the support!! It was a very bad day and I'm hurting big time. It doesn't help I'm still not over this Bronchitis thingy.....oh well, hopefully tomorrow will bring better news with my old doc!!

Hey Sprucy! What a total JERK!!! Yeah, because we're female alot of times the consensus is that it must be in our heads or its hormonal..blah, blah, blah!'

Im glad your old doctor is able to see you and Im rooting for you that you get some results(and some relief soon)
