Woke up this morning actually feeling pretty good. Got dressed and ready for work. My boyfriend doesn't work Fridays (lucky bastard) and he dropped me off at the sky-train so I could head downtown to work.

About half-way in to Vancouver, I started to feel a bit off. This has been happening almost daily since last week. I joke around that it is psychological and going in to work is what is making me sick. Laughing Upset tummy and a headache. By the time I hit downtown my tummy was flip-flopping and I has to stop in at the ladies room at the sky-train station. By 9:30am this morning I had a full-blown migraine Sad

I have took my pills and had something to eat, hoping it would dissapear as the day progressed. However it has only gotten worse. It is now 2:15pm, and not only do I have an upset tummy and migraine, but my whole body seems to be aching. Unsure I think it may have something to do with our drastic change in weather. The last couple days had been nice, and today we wake up to clouds and a downpour. YUCK! It seems that crappy weather makes my aches and pains worse. Does anyone else get that too?

So here I sit, with just over 2 1/2 hours left to my day and feeling sick to my stomach and wanting a nap. Grin I missed 2 days last week, one due to food poisoning and another cause I had doctors appointments. As a result, my paycheque was less $300. I really can't afford more time off right now. We are TRYING to find a place and move, and we have vacations coming up with the kids. Need all the money coming in that I can.

I think when 5pm does roll around I will be sleeping the sky-train ride home and calling it an early night tonight. So much for movie and pocorn with my little girls tonight Sad

The barometric pressure plays a big role in Fibro and pain. That happens to me too. When it is cloudy and dreary and damp outside the pain is horrible. I am sorry that you are in pain. Try to rest if you can this weekend. Hang in there. Wink

yes the weather definetly plays a big role in my flare ups and migraines. I live in FL and the hurricane season is the worst for me, something about the air pressure change. Hope you get to feelin better fast and hope you get the rest you need. hugs

My grandma and mom were better at knowing the weather than the weather man. My grandma would always be like "it's gonna rain today, I can feel it." and everyone would say that the weather channel never said that. Sure enough it always rained. It's been raining constantly were I am. It certainly causes more pain. Oh my goodness the winter, that's the most painful time ever! I never feel good it's always pain pain pain. I wonder where the most pain free climate would be.

Hope everyone feels better Smile

I am going through the same thing: horrible pain and aching.

Plus my bf is laid up with a knee injury so I have to do everything myself and help him too.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one who feels worse when it's damp and rainy.

Here in Pittsburgh we get that a lot!

Thanks for the post! Smile

Hope everyone feels better.

Thanks everyone!

I am thinking some of it may be stress-related too. Let me bounce this off you all:

We have been wanting to move for sometime. First we were looking for a house for just myself, partner, my 2 little girls and my adult son. Now my 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend want to move in with us. Their landlord is an ass and is bullying them to move out by next week. LEGALLY they do not have to leave as he never served them a legal Notice, he only told them verbally that he "needs the space for family from Fiji". But still, we are all looking now for a place together.

Thought we had a place earlier this week, but someone else beat us to the punch. Now back at square one. Have a house to look at tonight, 4 bedrooms - 2 bedroom suite up with a 2 bedroom suite down. Could work well for us. Unfortunately is empty now and available for JULY 1st. This would mean we would not be able to give our landlord Notice (nor would my son be able to give my ex-husband Notice) and we would be burning bridges. I don't like to do that if at all possible.

We have another place we found. It is ideally not the area I want to live. It is on the opposite side of a border and therefore falls in another CITY jurisdiction. I rather stay in the City we are in. It is available for July 15th or August 1st. We can't look at it though until JULY 1st, because the new owner, and potential landlord, doesn't take possession until then. She just bought the house and is looking for good, long-term tenants. It is a 3 bedroom/kitchen/living room/1 bathroom/dining room upstairs with 1 bedroom/rec room/dining room/bathroom down stairs. The house is ONE unit.

Both places are for rent for the same amount. Ideally we would like 2 seperate suites so that the teens have their OWN space. Ideally we would like to be able to give Notice. The place that is empty now IS 2 seprate suites, close to my Mom and in a good neighborhood, BUT we couldn't give Notice. The place for next month is also close to my Mom but on the opposite side of the City border, great neighborhood (cul-de-sac), COULD give Notice, BUT is not seperate suites.

All this thinking is making my brain hurt Unsure Any thoughts on my dilemma??

Poor thing. I also think that the commute and extra stress can trigger it too. It takes me 1.5 hours to commute in the am and between 1.5 to 2 hours in the pm, with a combination of driving 12 miles in the second worst traffic in the country (USA), 45 minutes on the train, and .5 mile walking...I often have to take a Percocet getting into the office. Add in weather factor and a flare can be triggered. I hope it gets better for you and you can salvage the weekend. It is very tough and stressful to work on top of the fibro. I sometimes think there should be a separate support group just for those working with a chronic condition! The stress of missing work and feeling like you must press on brings very unique challenges. Feel better, Laura. You truly have a lot going on with your home situation, work and the fibro.

I'm also feeling like carp. Stomach hurts, body aches. Stress is so difficult. Which house is nearer your work?

Both houses are about equal distances. The one we looked at the other day turned out to be a dump!

Back at square one....
