This up-date is not a good one. Odie and his mom fly back to Memphis to have the Chemo port removed and they will fly him home. He is using a walker around the house and a wheel-chair whe he has to go out, which that has all stopped to. He doesn't want to go anywhere or do anything and he was suppose to go to his dad's this past weekend and he told his mom to call and tell him that he wouldn't be coming. It breaks my heart that all this is happening to him. With all the advances in medicine and all the telethones we have for cancer research, that they should have found a cure by now. HOW MANY MORE CHILDREN HAVE TO DIE OF CANCER? It is not fair. I have been with them since Odie was diagnosed and I know I'm too close but, I would do it again, that's just the perosn I am. I put others first and I take care of me later. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm too close and I need to step away but, I can't, Odie is such a sweet little man. He has fought a good fight and he didn't win. Terry, Odie's dad bought Lauri a baby monitor because the walkie talkies odie and she were using, Odie couldn't hold it nor push to button. This is how weak he has gotten in a week. Lauri up-dated the journel on caringbridge.org, if you all would like to read it. I haven't stopped crying, so if I make any mistakes here, I'm sorry. I hurt so much for this family that I have gotten do close to. Please, Keep the prayers going. God Bless You All. Love Always shortstuff
