MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Does anyone else feel this way. I had not realized it, but the year's seem to be passing by so dog gone fast!!!! What I remember as happening a year ago, is in reality a couple year's past. Blink

I guess it is because if I can do little thing's throughout the day, it consumes my day. (just getting cleaned up, dressed, making bed, ect... with laying often for hours inbetween...

Just wondered if anyone noticed time was passing faster then they realized.

Hug's to all, have not been here is a long time! Hope everyone is in less-pain <3

I feel the same way, i actually get depressed if i think about how fast the time is flying by. So much i want to do. Just can't seem to do much between pain and fatigue.

The last 6 mths have been worsening for me until i had a major flare up and very little sleep the last 4 or 5 nites (actually made about 4 hrs last nite)

I was dx'd in 93 or 94 but was lucky enough to have had a kind of remission for almost 2 years but now fibro is back with a vengeance, that 2 yrs seems like a life time ago. I want it back!...lol But life must go on so i might as well smileSmile. since this too shall pass.Smile

Hope the weather is getting nicer for everyone

Oh boy, do I ever!! I've been very frustrated that life is passing me by. My daughter's first grade year is coming to an end, and it feels like I missed most of it. There's no way to get back that precious time with my little one. I have no idea how I got to be 41 years old already...I haven't done most of the things I thought I'd do by now. Life is short, we just have to enjoy it as best we can while we can. I'm finding that I'm starting to appreciate the little things...the little everyday things that most people take for granted. That can't be a bad thing. Smile Maybe in forcing us to slow down, the illness is teaching us to focus on and appreciate the things that REALLY matter. Sometimes we can find good in the midst of the bad. I'm trying really hard to focus on that. I'm trying to how to just "be", and fully absorb the beautiful moments that come in that stillness, instead of always trying to do, do, do. I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone else, it's just the musings of my slightly neurotic and foggy mind. Smile Anyway, I understand your frustration, and pray we all can find fulfillment even in the midst of our pain and frustration.

Blessings and hugs~

Mel

I most definitely do feel this very same way! Have for quite some time. My sister & I were actually talking about this yesterday. The forgetfulness, the time lapse issues, losing words, etc. Something that happened a day ago seems like a week ago & vise versa.

Hey~at least we can come here & feel sane, right? Wink hang in there, everyone!

I think we all feel that way. Somedays I get nothing accomplished. Before I go to bed I often think what a wasted day. It is just me and hubby here and he works from homes so one day is the same as the next. This morning I went to get the paper, thinking that it was Sunday.

Years ago I told my GP that I had a hard time remembering what day of the week it was (and forget about the date) Most times I could not tell you if it were the 1st or the 21st. He told me to be careful who I told that to because that is the first question they ask when they are testing your sanity! LOL

Between not getting things done and bad memory I am a mess.
