From what I've heard and looked up, that's something called Alloydinia. Google it or look it up on WebMd and you may find some helpful info.

I get that feeling when I'm nearing impeding massive flare or just spots that my clothes may have rubbed too much. I also get the "don't touch me" feeling when I haven't shaved my legs in a week or so. The more that the hair rubs on the clothes, the more sensitive my skin gets. It's not summer here, so I don't really shave as much as I should. But, I know the price I'd pay if I let it go too long.

I get spots like that on my elbows, arms, wrists, legs, and feet. I can't even wear business casual clothes to work like I'm supposed to sometimes b/c of that "don't touch me". The wrong type of fabric will set that off into no return. I have found the Ibuprofen works to take the edge off of the sensitivity sometimes.

I have one elbow that is almost constantly a "sore Spot" before I started the Lyrica it would be and obvious ache/pain all the time but if you touched it with so much as a shirt sleeve it would bring tears to my eyes,(this is different than the post about one sore spot if this makes sense) Since being on the Lyrica it isn't the same level of ache/pain as before. I only notice it's still there if I hit it directly. I also have a spot on my left wrist that gets this way but that one only seems to flare when I'm going into a major flare. it seems to start with so much pain in that wrist that I have to splint it day and night and then the major flare comes. No matter how much I rub or put heat or anything else to these areas it never helps. I've just always figured it was a part of this whole mess and since I can't figure out why the rest of it happens either I've just learned to live with it

your right who would ever have thought some normal daily activities would cause such pain. If any would have told me I would be like this 10 years ago I would have laughed at them because it sounds so obsurd but here we are posting away and finding out at least we are not alone

it is good to have people who can identify with us. I really have learned more and feel better than other sites I have tried.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the help. It's just nice to know I am not alone in this! I talked to my doc who says that massage would really help because it stimulates the nerves to touch. He says it has to be extremely light pressure!! I couldn't take anything else...but I might give it a try to see if it helps. I'll let you know. I just wish this one spot would go away and I think I would feel better!
