Woo boy, me too! I am gaining weight like crazy!! I have this insane appetite these days and I know I have gained lately. No problems there!

I think melatonin is sold over the counter at drug stores and health food stores, maybe try GNC

I too have gained weight. My doc says I need to walk and exercise more. !! Yeah right. I try to keep moving the whole day as it is doing housework and shopping even if it kills me. What is is about "it hurts" that doctors don't comprehend !! As much as I hate to say it, maybe your docotr can give you something to help you sleep for awhile. I think lack of sleep makes us worse. I tried the Lunesta at one time too and it did help me sleep, I just hated the aftertaste the nest day. The clonopin doesn't leave a strange aftertaste or hangover feeling with you. Good luck in finding what helps you. Lately my big thing is that I invested in an electric blanket and keep it on low all night. No way could I leave it any higher as I have to contend with night sweats.

BonBon (by the way...love that 'name'!) Here is a good link about melatonin.

http://www.melatonin.com/

You can get it at any health or vitamin store. I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe and I am sure GNC carries it as well.

iknowpain is correct in that it doesn't give you that hangover effect either. It doesn't make you feel 'dopey'.

Barbkubacki - right there with ya girl. Have absolutely no problem with the weight thing.Unsure

melatonin can be purchased at any grocery store that has a pharmacy. As far as weight goes, I have lost 87 pounds in a year following the diet on the following website:

Check it out! Hope this helps.

Favorite Poem :
It is such a relief when you first find out.
That the pain really does have a name,
And then you will ask (and everyone does),
"Just where can i place all the blame".
No matter the limits, no matter the pain,
There's no evil, cruel "Master Plan".
It just simply happens, It just simply is.
You adapt, and you change what you can.
But even with the knowing the best and the worst,
All the pitfalls the future could hold,
You still have a choice, you quit or you fight.
You determine the story that's told.
And every small step that we take, my dear friends,
Each battle that we slowly win,
Just credits the love and the caring we share
With the FMily that we call our friends.

Thanks for the info, iknowpain. I am going to check it out for sure.!! I have an extra 40 lbs. Alot of it just in the last 3 months so I don't know if it's the thyroid cancer or what. But like I said previously, I keep moving all day. Slowly but I don't just sit around and eat. So now I wonder if weight gain is part of fibro ????

mamanordy, I'll trade you some of my excess sleep for some of your awake time. Tomorrow's my sleep apnea test so I hope they find out why I'm like this. By the looks of my bedding in the morning, I think I'm more active asleep than when I'm awake. Smile

Thanks for the link to that diet Iknowpain!
Everyone sees who I appear to be,
But only a few know the real me.
You only see what I choose to show.
There's so much behind this smile...
So much you don't know.

Your welcom. That site is full of other info as well. I have read all of his books and a lot of his ideas have worked for me.
