Sumtimes my muscle just feel like they are on fire mixed with pain. I haven't read any1 else feeling this. At it's worse I get a stabbing pain all over, then the pain sets in and it just burns. I am assuming that the stabbing pains are the trigger points flaring up. Then when it starts 2 calm down I get what I consider spasms, but the burning pain is still there. Any1 feel this?

I am still new here so I mite get post happy with alot of ?s

Sounds like my shoulder. It is always in spasms and burning. I have been putting lidoderm patches on them it helps a little. Soma is supposed to good for spasms. I found that helps too.

I have one particular spot on the right side of my back beside my spine that has been there since my car accident. This spot was always numb and itchy till the last year then it started to burn and shoot pain. its still itchy but most of the time (almost all of it) it burns.

I was assuming that this is my trigger point that started this whole thing. My doctor told me that one of the ways you get this is from a car accident. That is my story. And this burning spot in my back is the only thing that has been there since the accident happened?

Anyone got any input on just how we get this.

I too am so new I will probably follow butrli lead and ask a million questions.

On my trigger spot, if you slightly push on it you can feel a knot. I have them all over. My dr did say that stress can cause the knot, and sumthing with it doesn't release. The muscles just stay knotted. Now the ortho dr I had seen said, this can come from injury, trama. I am still reading and trying 2 understand more. Most of the burning pain is just all over, I still don't understand y either.

I get something like that, I say it feels like an exercise burn. It feels just like when I used to exercise too much, too fast. Is that the same as what your talking about?

Yes it is, but I know I am not over exercising. But that's what it feels like. I am just not sure y I get like this or what triggers it. Would b curious 2 figure out what causes it and what I can do 2 prevent or help it. Wonder if stretching like a very basic pilates would help get oxygen to the muscles. Would luv more answers to this

When I was flareup bad I had the burning mostly in my legs. Some people have this feeling during anxiety attacts I guess too.

After getting better and the right sleep I can't remember the last time I felt the burning. Have lots of other things but no burning. I too would compare it to over-working out or even sometimes it felt like sunburn- you could feel my skin and it was hot.

I know exactly what you mean. As a matter of fact when I first was diagnosed I looked at the Dr and said I know this sounds stupid but the only way I can describe it is I feel like my skin is burning. He reached over touched some trigger spots that nearly put me to the floor and said. that't because you have Fibro. When a flare gets real bad it is mostly my arms chest and back that feel like they aere on fire.(ok the upper half of my body) The pain and burniong get so bad they nauseate me. For me the Ultracet does help take the burning feel away.

Soma is a muscle relaxant and lidoderm is a patch with lidocaine in it. My legs get burning but the shoulder gets really cold.My hubby tells me they feel like ice. Its like there is poor circulation in them. My legs get hot in certain spots. It is weird.
