Hey and good morning, still in bed, trying to get my energy up to get the hell out of bedWink ..anywho, has anyone ever noticed a weird heaviness in one of their legs? The other day I had to pull myself together, and had errands to doSad Sad believe me if I didn't have to I would have stayed on my cozy warm futon, but, I went to the bank, and as I was walking towards bank, my right leg felt heavy, almost like it fell asleep, to me it felt like I was almost forcing my leg to walk, just curious, because this past week has been the worst so far with pain, and most of my hand pain is in my right hand...kind of weird, I felt like I was dragging my leg, although I knew I wasn't...but if anyone has a clue abt what i mean, pls let me know...so I don't think I am going BONKERS! I have lots of leg problems but never have had what you describe. Sounds like something you should make your doc aware of though.

I have range of 50% less feeling on my left side.. to I cant get out of bed because my left side wont move..... head to toe feeling on the lefts side only... I have been to a ms doctor and neuroligist and a epilepsy specialist... and they havent found anything yet.. sooo... I cant tell you if it is a fibro thing or something wrong with my receptors somewhere along the way

Good luck let your doctor know.. good luck it can be a very scarey feeling ( i understand)

earlran,

I am sorry you are in pain.

I know that you do not have a Dr. right now because you moved and "other" reasons.

But...PLEASE...try your best to find one as soon as possible!!!

Even if you go to the ER they cannot turn you away.

They have to treat you even if a person does not have Health Insurance. Did you know that?

PLEASE take care of yourself.

I do not want you to suffer anymore than you have to.

I'm an Advocate

I don't have the one-sided wakness. I do, however have severe weakness in my arms & legs. Have no idea why. Its not all the time, as a matter of fact, I went through a time like this last year, got better, then now, its back. I wish I had something more for you. Hope it gets better for you soon!

Yes, my legs are something like that. I describe it as feeling like there is cement attached to them. I have been to so many docs and had so many tests to rule things out. I do have spinal stenosis and other back issues though. At first docs didn't think that was the reason, especially since injections did nothing to help. I'm on several meds and my pain pills help the most with the legs, soon I'm going to a spine center, don't know if I'll have any new answers but I can certainly feel for you. It's very scary, often it feels like at any time, the legs are just going to stop working and I'm going to be in a wheel chair. I would just see a doc as soon as you can and don't be afraid to go to the ER. Don't worry about insurance, let them do a work up, I mean you can $10.00 a month forever if need be and there is nothing they can do as long as you're attempting to pay something. Just don't ignore it though for long, always want to be on the safe side.

mammy,

I agree with you. I think that if something is not right then a person should go to the ER immediately.

They cannot turn a person away!!!

I hope that everyone knows that! Smile

I think some people may know but feel they are not entitled and that is so NOT true. We all deserve access to good medical care and it was a good point that you brought up that nobody can be turned away.
