Now I know not everyone agrees with me on this but we got a Select Comfort Bed ten years ago and my wife and I think it was the best purchace we ever made. I keep my side firm and hers is soft and we sleep like the dead. We are so spoiled by the bed that when we travel we wish we could bring it along because nothing sleeps as good as the select comfort beds.

They aren't cheep. But they don't wear out. Ours is ten years old and just as comfy today as it was on day one. So it's a good investment.

Tinkerbella619,

I suggest a Memory Foam bed like a Tempur-Pedic.

That is what we have....it is awesome! Smile

Here is the link http://www.tempurpedic.com/

They are expensive but in my opinion so very necessary because of my severe Fibromyalgia pain.

A Mattress and Box Spring hurts my pressure points.

IF you get a mattress and box spring try to get one that has the memory foam built in the top of it.

They have a lot of new beds these days for people in pain like us....UGH! Sad

If you have a Rheumatologist ask him or her too.

OR...if you do not have or want to spend that much money at this time try buying like a 4 or 6 inch memory foam topper to put on top of the mattress.

Amazon has some memory foam toppers and so does QVC.

Keep me posted!

I have to second that. I got a fantastic 11-inch thick memory foam mattress from Overstock.com that actually came yesterday. That's the first night in a long time that my hips haven't felt like someone shoving hot wires through them when I get up. I'm in love. Twin size was around $200.

we have a pillowtop mattress that we got for fairly cheap locally, but our next bed will be a sleep number like lockman has. Our pillowtop is great but after a year and half it is starting to wear out, we are definately going to invest in a sleep number.

I think a memory foam is a good option to, my sis has that. You can also get them at Costco.

tntmom1027,

You have only had your Mattress for a year and a half and it is wore out? WOW!

What kind did you get that it would be wore out in such a short amount of time? Dizzy

Yup, I got this one, although it looks like it's gone up a little. Still, 100% worth it!

amazing- i don't know if its technically worn out, but not as fluffy as day one lol. I would have to look at what brand it is, but that would require more energy then I have right now lol.

tntmom1027,

Why not buy a Memory Foam Mattress Topper for now?

They have them on Amazon and QVC

They have very thick memory foam toppers and thinner ones.
