WENT TO VISIT FRIEND IN NJ FOR 2 DAYS, FELT LIKE I WAS COMING DOWN WITH SOMETHING, WHILE I WAS THERE...THANK GOD FOR MY FRIEND, SHE HAS HAD FIBRO, ALONG WITH LUPUS, FOR MANY YEARS, SO SHE UNDERSTOOD HOW I WAS FEELING, STAYED IN BED WHILE AT HER HOUSE. SHE WOULD ASK ME WHAT I FELT, IT WAS HARD TO EXPLAIN, JUST THAT I HAD THAT OVERWHELMING EXHAUSTION, AND THAT CRAPPY FEELING U HAVE BEFORE U GET A FLU...SO DID ALOT OF SLEEPING AND JUST RESTING, HAD SOME HAND PAIN AT NIGHT, BUT NOT THAT BAD.....CAME HOME (3 HOUR DRIVE), FIANCE PICKED ME UP, AND THE DAY THAT I CAME HOME, I WAS TIRED, BUT BLAMED IT ON THE RIDE, THAT NIGHT, I WOKE UP TO THE MOST EXCRUCIATING PAIN I HAVE EVER HAD, AND LASTED A LONG TIME, JUST CRIED, FINALLY PASSED OUT...NEXT DAY I WAS SHOT...SO THAT NIGHT BEFORE I WENT TO BED, MY FIANCE, TOOK HIS FINGERS AND GENTLY RUBBED MY LOWER FOREARM, AND WHEN HE DID, HE SAID FELT A TINY LUMP, SO HE GENTLY MASSAGED THIS TINY LUMP, AND I COULD ACTUALLY FEEL A SENSATION THAT RAN DOWN TO MY FINGERS, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THAT NIGHT I WAS PAIN FREE, HE SEEMS TO THINK THAT THIS TINY BUMP WAS PRESSING ON NERVES THAT IS CAUSING THIS PAIN IN MY FINGERS....DOES ANYONE ELSE FIND ANY SMALL LUMPS ANYWHERE? THE OTHER FUNNY THING, IS THAT I SOMETIMES GET THIS PAIN IN MY LEFT HAND, AND SURE ENOUGH, I HAVE SMALL LUMP IN THAT LOWER FOREARM ALSO! IF ANYONE HAS FOUND SMALL LUMPS OR BUMPS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW...THANK YOU SO MUCH 4 ALLOWING ME TO VENT!

I wanted to cry when I read this because I am feeling this way right now! just crappy! I have never felt lumps but my hands hurt all the time, my pain is usually in my upper back shoulder blades and neck due to degenerative disk disease. It does feel like your coming down with the flu, so when the flu is going around how do you know if you get it I'm sorry your having such pain, wish I could help with the lump thing but haven't heard of it before, might wanna bring this up with your doc, make an appt?

I think my opinoin,is that with fibro/nerve connection we get those lumps our muscels knot up pressing on things they shouldnt..Im glad the massage worked..be carefull not to go to deep because I know for me and a few others it causes the muscel to come back with a vengence

All I can say is, I put my right hand, face down on table, my fiance gently rubbed down my arm...from the crease in elbow to abt 4 inches down, when he hit a spot that caused me to yell from the pain, he said he felt a small lump there, and massaged gently, because it was so sensitive, he did this 4 abt a minute, that was all I could stand, I don't know if it was my imagination, but I had no pain that nite....also I have read that people with fibro, will find a small lump on the upper, inner left leg, and guess what? My fiance felt that too, actually he was shocked to feel, what he described as small lump, and the weird thing, is only on the left leg. Sometimes it is so confusing to me, but I also have read that many people with fibro, do have small lumps all over....my guess would be knots pinching our nerves, which in turn cause PAIN!

I am so sorry that you have had so much pain but YES, I can relate to the ""little lumps"" and yes, I agree they could be causing nerve pain in different parts of your body. I have such a ""bump"" on the inside of my left wrist and lots of pain and discomfort in that thumb from time to time.

Please definitely DO talk with your dr. re: the bump(s), just to see what he/she has to say one way or the other.
