Hi everyone. I am having trouble. I know I have arthritis in my back , right knee and rt.shoulder. I also have bursitis in my right hip. Hmm, every thing on one side. Any ways, at least that joint pain can be explained.

But since this DD, I also havejoint pain on my left side. It also is affected by weather, stress... My pain doc says that fibro doesn't cause joint pain. Research says it is a muscular issue. So what the heck else is wrong with me?

So any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Jenn

I just want to let you all know that I am just like you, a regular person. I am not a doctor or a therapist, but I do promise to be there and listen as often as I can.
Hugs and Peace,
Jenn

From my very long article called A Collection of Fibromyalgia Information.....

Under Signs and Symptoms of Fibromyalgia:

4. Bone, Joint, Muscles; pain can be localized/diffuse; swelling, chest wall/rib pain, Costochondritis, muscle twitching, spasms, ataxia, cramping.

Temporomandibular Joint Disorder: in many FM patients, problems are encountered because of the abnormal tone in muscles around the joint, not because of abnormalities in the joint itself. (Pain in the face and jaw)

Under More Symptoms and Challenges, same article:

Shoulder pain: Often burning type of pain - often between the shoulder blades.

Muscle and joint aches; Severe muscle weakness; Muscle spasms: may feel like tight knots or charlie horse or lumps. Muscles contract but do not release properly. Muscles apparently may contract without receiving stimulus from the brain.

If you would like the entire article to print out and read, or to show your doctor, PM me.

I have both osteo and fms and I'm learning to tell the pain apart. My doc says that what I kept thinking was joint pain was actually the muscles and connective tissues around the joints. If I keep myself limber through gentle stretching, the fibro pain is a lot better. The stretching doesn't really help the arthritis pain at all.

It's always something!
