This just cracks me up. I love to wear my hippy skirts and tank tops with sweaters over them since I live in a cold climate with snow. It's all about layers for me because I'm going through menopause and medication which also makes me sweat so I need lots and lots of layers. Okay now if I add in the fibromyalgia, for instance, my leg is just killing me today so I will put some icy hot on and then wrap it with an ace bandage and then put on my long underwear over that and then the hippy skirt. Not that anyone else can see all of that but it would probably freak a lot of people out to know that I have four or five days worth of clothes on at one time. It all peels off and comes down to one or two by the time evening rolls around. Oh well, it works for me. Smile

May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilites that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.....May you be content knowing you are a child of God.....Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you.

Fantastic post Carol- love it!! Although too young for menopause at moment in life- live in a cold climate esepcially now so need to wrap up in many layers plus love my skirts too!! Feel weird in trousers so rarely wear them- feel much more comfortable wearing a skirt or dress. Whatever works for you works- so care not what others may say or think- comfort comes first!!

Probably would amuse some people, yet, wear a soft bra in bed these days as it is just more comfortable- am medium build apple shaped with large bossoms- wearing a bra just helps me to sleep better. Wear a different bra during day Winkbtw- one that is more supportive too!!

Have had some hot moments- would not say hot flashes yet call them ' internal thermostat haywire hotness or ITHH for short Wink' Have had ITHH since the age of 24 when fibro first came into life, now 37. Yet, mostly am cold as it is mostly ITHC- iternal thermostat haywire coldness- a dyslexic itch WinkSmile!! Am dyslexic so can make this joke!

Everyone here- You all need to be comfortable so do not dress up as if you are going on the Catwalk/Runway- just wear what works for you. If anyone looks at you strange then just give them a beaming smile Smile!

Warmest wishes, one frozen bat girl, love Clarita Smilexoxooooxox

I'm an Advocate

Yeah, Carol, whatever works for you ~~~

I can t think of anything odd like that that I do/have done right now but I know I have done/worn some oddities and if anyone saw what was hidden, they would have laughed or been shocked.

I would much rather be cold than too hot ~~~ I can always add a piece of clothing but away from home, it s impossible to remove too much clothing ... LOL !!!

Stay warm ~~~ Wink

in the house now I wear leggings 2 sizes 2 big...I wear the softest t shirts I can find....they they tend to get rougher as they get older so I do use fabric softener, but sometimes that doesn't work either.

So I shop for t shirts about every 4-5 months I get new ones....the ones on wallmart.com put out by just my size have lasted longer and stayed softer longer than any others....I wear sweats outside now because the wet cold is a killer on the phony knee....I wear sherpa fleece jacket outside and sometimes those really long sherpa coats. I have two, by accident I got a double order.I also ordered these 2 sizes too long, they are heavy but I love that they go down to almost my ankles so it protects the knees from the biting cold....

I think we all live in pajamas in the house, and in the winter those microfleece things are like living inside a cloud... and they seem to stay microfleece soft even when you wash them a lot. I go through lots of clothing because I sweat when I am cold and then my clothing holds the dampness close to me and makes me colder and I sweat more....

sigh its a never ending battle for us isn't it?????

Flannel sheets......
