back with a 25 degree angle for the back and a ginormas pillow for the legs to keep me propped up....its awful but better than reflux....Its called the Contour Backmax.....My honey says I dont move at all....until 2 am when I usually end up getting up....the cat has to.....and then he is hungry and I hurt so its just better if we do all this stuff in the living room and leave my poor honey in peace.

Why on earth do you ask?

hugs

nats

I sleep proped now too. Used to be just my legs...which continue to incline and/or I have to use a bigger pillow b/t legs when on side. I usually sleep on right side and use a king sized pillow cause its real long and i need the support from feet to mid stomach. Now i incline my head from back pain and reflux. My reflux is worse. Doesn't matter what I eat. I think as soon as it gets dark my body thinks its time to turn on all the annoying symptoms possible Wink. I toss all night but somehow my hubby sleeps through it. since ive been this way since a year after marriage I think he's just gotten used to it.

I find longer pillows help for me. sometimes all my joints and body hurts so bad I need cushion everywhere and use the king pillow between legs and reg size from mid stomach to arms and prop my arms and hands/wrist on it. Whatever works...great sheets and soft pillows no matter the size i feel is best. I also take lunesta to help sleep but was told i have restless leg syndrome and is why my legs hurt so bad and i toss so much at night..

Day by day we struggle but it is by the grace of God we make it through.

God gave us free will but just because we have the choice to do what we want doesnt mean we should dismiss the consequences...our actions always effect others- sometimes more than they effect ourselves.

I am not a doctor nor claim to be. My adive is my opinion. See a doctor if you are in a crisis and need professional help.

It is very hard to snuggle when my Back Max is in bed with us, this is very true, and the pillows are big and bulky, but...My dear friend, who also has fibro, ended up getting a king size bed, not too long ago, and she reports loving all the extra room...and I am insanely jealous of her, but we dont have a big enough bedroom for king size....Brandi, I am very impressed...

my husband says I dont move muscle...and he has to reach over and check my pulse to see if I am still breathing.

That's kinda creepy, but since he is doing it and I am asleep it wouldn't bother me if I died in my sleep, I guess, it just seems kinda creepy.....lol

Hi Broken, i am a back sleeper i need a fluffy pillow under my head, and some kind of smaller pillow for under my knees, for my bad back.I can never find a comfy pillow for either, then if i sleep on my side i need a pillow to put between my legs to relive stress on my back, i think pillows are a great idea, i hope you invent some.I would be in line for one, luv and peace Debi

I start out propped up on a firm pillow & a medium pillow with the heating pad to relax the muscles in my shoulders & upper back. When I'm ready to actually sleep, I switch to a very soft pillow & sleep on my stomach. I move all night long, the pain & stiffness wake me up several times per night & I have to change position. Oh and if the RLS kicks in, I'll have to get up & walk it out. I find that I sleep better without the extra pillows propping up this or that body part, but the sleep I get isn't restorative.

I think your idea is very creative & wish you luck in your endeavors.

Hi Broken. Brilliant idea - make millions so that you can fly me over to share your weekend buffet!

O.K. - darling I sleep on left (my bad) side. I need to prop - so I have 3 pillows under my head.

I then have a long (not bulky) pillow that I can tuck into my tummy, but long enough that it also goes between my knees. - right leg pulled up quite high.

OY VAY CHILD!!!!!! Is this making ANY sense??????? Soooo stupid trying to describe every day things!!!

I don't sleep much - but don't sleep at all if not in this position.

So yes! I have to agree! - - Long not bulky pillow!!!

REALLY bad day - feel like hell and I am TRYING to be scientific (I want a commission!) - OY VAY!

Love and hugs,

Faerie.

do you find most of the body pillow are way to bulky? and the propping pillows seem to move everywhere..when I roll over at night I wake up almost every time(do you know how much you actually roll)alot!then have to move all my pillows with me...

I will try and figure some out...I have finished the cane idea its drawn out, just waiting to get all the materials(money, lol) so I have now moved on to the pillow, hell if we are going to suffer we might as well find some comfort...

so keep on with thaughts when they come to you...

we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

I'm an Advocate

I'm a side sleeper, sometimes a half-stomach sleeper, if that makes any sense. My body pillow is actually too flat, so I fold it in half & put it between my legs. I've got a king size pillow that I like to wrap my arms around & lay my head on while I'm laying awake, then have to switch to a smaller pillow to sleep, tucked up under my neck. I would love to have a pillow that would equal out to be about 6 1/2 foot long that is curved so that it goes under my head, then around with a little less at my waist so it doesn't hurt my stomach, yet supports me, then goes down between my legs & straightens out, kind of like a weird question mark look. LOL. Something like that would be ideal for me! Wink Then I wouldn't have to change over all my pillows when I have to change positions (which is quite a bit. I can't lay in the same position for too long or I start hurting really badly). Ooh! I know a better one! One that would be like that on one side, then comes around the head into a half circle so all you would have to do is just turn over in the middle of the circle & pull the bottom part up between your legs! Now THAT would be one awesome pillow! Let me know what you come up with! I would SO buy one!
