So, I was wondering, does anyone else have joints that make noise all the time? Like the noise that's made when you pop a knuckle?

I would say about 75% of the time when I get up from a seated position and start walking, all my toes pop on my path to where I'm going. I've really only noticed this when I'm not wearing shoes. That might be obvious though.

My shoulders are the next most noisy joints. Just about as often as my toes pop, my shoulders do as well when I move around. It's not necessarily just when I lift them above my head (or as close as I can come to doing that on that particular day), it's pretty much anytime. When I'm in bed and have to change positions, or if I'm sitting resting on one of my arms, or well, other times, often.

The third most noisy joints are my hips. The right more than the left, but they are both really noisy with that popping sound. Then, I suppose it would fall in line for the ole knees and ankles right after the hip.

Other joints pop occasionally. It just depends really. It's also almost like the noise when you adjust your neck.

I could be crazy, but my guy hears it too sometimes and says "what was that?"

Long post, anyone have the same thing? Does anyone know what that's from?

Well Snoopy, you don't have to feel so old anymore b/c I am popping just like you! Have you ever heard of the Blue Man Group? Well, if you have, then maybe we can start our own Fibro Joint Popping group and start entertaining people with our talents! SMILE!

I think I'm just going to have to see if I can find something about that...interesting...I wonder what the others will say as well. Soon we shall see if this is a trend or not =)

Aunt Rinn, that is HYSTERICAL! We can start our own Fibro joint popping group! That is the ABSOLUTE funniest thing I have heard all day...OK, I have finally have found a reason to laugh today!! It has been SUCH a bleak and depressing day. I have actually been trying to decide if I should commit the worst thing I could do or not.. I REALLY have..all day...I cannot stand how sad my sweetie is about my sickness all the time, how sad I am that my son cannot handle seeing me very often because it hurts him so much to see me so sick... I SNAP ALL THE TIME AND IT STARTED WHEN I FIRST GOT THE FIBRO. NOT ONE SINGLE DR. HAS BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER AS TO WHY ALL OF MY JOINTS JUST STARTED CRACKING AND CREAKING FOR NO REASON...MY SWEETIE CALLS ME SNAP, CRACKLE AND POP! WE COULD NAME OUR GROUP THE RICE KRISPIES! It will be VERY interesting to see what others have to say.. each day a new joint gets added on...today it is my left knee..haha!

Wow guys I never really thought about it be related but since you brought it up my right ankle cracks. It has become comical at my house because when I walk up the steps my ankle cracks when I go up the steps. On every step my ankle cracks loud enough for other to hear it. They say they always know when i'm coming. Most of my problems have been in my right leg but I never put it together.

I have the popping too. My jaw is the worst. After that it would be my right shoulder. My neck makes a crunching sound when I move my head back and forth. I don't know if only I can hear it or if others can too. I know everyone can hear my jaw. My hubby always remarks about it!

Hi ggirl! I hope that you are feeling better today! The popping in your jaw is most likely TMJ, which usually always accompanies neck problems. Ask your dentist to check you for it the next time you go to him and tell him about the noise it makes.
