Hi, kids! I know it has been a while and I have been on quite the roller coaster. I've been without suboxone since August. PAIN!

I wont' bore you with the details now, but I'm starting with a new doctor on Tuesday and he sounds DIVINE! Bo suggested that I try to find a physiatrist. I know, I've never heard of that one either. But guess what? They hit the nail right on the head! They believe in fibro and TREAT it!

In fact, my new doctor uses everything from lyrica to suboxone to dilaudid. Essentially whatever it takes to treat your pain, he uses it.

He also said that he uses amino acids and neural transmitter replacement therapy. I don't know anything about that, but it does sound intriguing. I've been saying for the longest time that our brains are wired strangely! LOL!

So anyway, if you're not happy with your doctor, try searching for a physiatrist.

Love you guys and miss you all!

I saw one about a year or so before my diagnosis. We were working on my neck pain and didn't have much luck. I wish I still had Kaiser to go back to see him. Maybe when I find a job....

TINA!!! It's sooo good to see you! I'm glad you have found a dr to help you that's awesome! I know in my experience with pdocs around here they would never treat Fibro, the ones I have met would never rx pain meds at least. I've been with my current one now for several years and she def wouldn't. Tongue She is the best and very sympathetic to my conditions however she leaves the treatments to my pain dr. I think it's the same with any type of dr it's all about searching for the "right" one. Eventually you will find them like you did Wink half the time it takes people forever just to find the "right" rheumy, pain dr or even primary care to treat Fibro.

You are always in my thoughts and prayers sweet thang! How has your son been feeling? Love youuu! <3

Tina is talking about a physiatrist, not a psychiatrist. They're specialists in muscles and bones, I think. Like a cross between a physical therapist and an osteopath. Like I said they sent me to one for my neck when I had given up on physical therapy. He gave me great exercises that I still do and did some accupuncture on my neck that only helped for about 24 hours.
