MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

My disability hearing is scheduled for November. I am scared that I haven't gone to the drs enough for social security. But I just can't afford to go alot.

Amy, hopefully they will take that into consideration. Just tell them that, and there might actually be one level head there. Smile Good luck and try not to stress too much in the meantime. Hugs, Karen

I did some research, what I could find any way, on my judge. He doesn't deny a high amount so hopefully he's fair. He denies about a quarter. I'm not sure in the whole scheme of ALJ world if that's high or not, but I'd think no. I just hope I'm not in that quarter!!!!! My main two worries are the dr visits, and that they don't do a tender point test everytime I go. Hopefully I'll get into this new rheumy before I go up there. I know I'll see the psyc before then. I guess we'll just have to wait and see but boy, am I going to be freaking come November! That week or so before I'll be useless.

That's great that you have a date! Are you up to date on your treatment? My lawyer said the one thing my particular judge frowned upon was drug addicts, alcoholism and claimants that didn't follow up consistently with their drs for the claimed conditions and have a record of persistant treatment. I said ohh you tell me this as we are walking in and she said well I knew they didn't apply obviously the first two and the third since you live at the drs, more then with all they found everytime I went Dizzy I was nervous about my pain med but she said it was only one he looks at the people with many that don't have the dx to call for them or a history. I wouldn't worry too much just explain you haven't had the money to see them, you are in desperate need of insurance. Wink What confirmed dx are you going in there with? Huge hugs, Stacey

I'm glad that you have a date and I totally understand the anxiety, believe me. Can't you go to doctor's under charity care or whatever your State provides? Also, if you really need to be seen and explaine to the office, they might wait for the money or do payment arrangements. I don't think you'll have a problem....just remind us when it gets closer!

Oh, I wanted to say also that, all of my docs knew that I was applying and wrote letters for me, one of them even testified by phone with my lawyer. So anything like that would be extremely helpful Smile
