I have been gone for awhile, but lately it seems like life is getting to me again and I know there is such wonderful support here. Last week I had 2 surgeries due to a failed mesh bladder sling and it's been horrible. Has sent my fibro into a flare. These Dr.s still do not understand fibro and how a person feels. They just seem to shrug it off like it's nothing! I found that even nurses in the hospital pay no attention when you tell them you have fibro! Then I was put on an antibiotic known to cause problems with tendons and joint pain! What the heck is this?? I ended up having tremors from the antibiotics and quit taking them. You would think the Dr would put me on something else, but no! You would also think that they would not put a fibro patient on a medication known to cause joint problems! I am just sooo tired of health issues! Thanks everyone for listening!Sad

I'm not currently active due to many personal and medical issues. I will not be participating in MDJ for awhile, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I hope everyone is well and I appreciate all of the thoughts, kind words and messages. I have tried to respond as much as possible and apologize if I have not gotten back to everyone. Welcome back, it's nice to see you again Smile

I'm sorry you have been through so much but I'm glad you have turned to us for support. You dont' have to go through anything alone, we're all here for you. Keep us posted as to how you're doing.

I know what you mean about the antibiotic, I was on it quite awhile ago and had to end up having three shoulder surgeries. My PCP looked it up as he was wondering why I kept tearing tendons while doing nothing, that's what he thinks happened but what can you do, right? What's done is done now but the med(the name is escaping me) has been put on my med allergy list.

My advice is free, completely anecdotal, and comes from my own experience. Always talk to your doctor before you change anything.
