Our only grandson (8) is having his first official team baseball game @ 5:30 this evening .

I have been so happy (love baseball) that he even showed an interest and looked forward to today with excitement and anticipation.

Now that it s truly here, I am a nervous wreck ""Grammie"" ~~~

There is a chicken bar-b-q prior to the game but well take ours home and eat later as I know we won t be able to get him to eat anything much before the game.

Once that uniform is on and he puts that ball cap on, he is all business !!!

The biggest problem is going to be the HEAT !!! It is not even 2 PM and 86*, no breeze, bright sun and NO SHADE TREES at the ball diamond. Yuck !!!

Anyway, the cooler is pretty much packed (just gotta add ice) and the camera is loaded (hope I don t forget it) ~~~

Going to call daughter in a bit and see if she s having butterflies also ... LOL !!!

I am sure the teacher is having a time keeping the boys involved tonight serious enough to study this afternoon .

I ll let you all know how things went tomorrow as will probably be too wiped out to come online when we get home tonight ...LOL !!!

P.S. Grandsons' name is Andon ; he ll be catching and playing second base.

Take an umbrella for shade, maybe a personal fan for a hot breeze. And most important, stay hydrated (and close to a bathroom).

I can sure relate even though Savannah isn't old enough....how fun for all of you. Your nerves will settle and you'll have a blast and I'm sure your daughter is nervous too, it's different though being a grammy, at least I think so

Steve bought Savannah her first bike, she had to have it when she seen it in the store.... a pink princess bike. Please bampy she says and it's all hers lol

We got the helmet, the knee pads and off she went and mammy now has herself some more gray hair that I just paid to get rid of. She told Steve he was the best bampy ever and her bike was perfect just like him.....awwwww. He's in trouble when her hobbies start getting more expensive lol

I can be very level-headed in almost any situation and went thru YEARS of both daughters playing sports (I was much younger then ... LOL !!! ) It was a ball and I didn t worry one bit but boy, with a grandchild, it sure changes.

Andon also has to wear his ""brain bucket"" (as he calls it) with the pads etc. for his bike, scooter and skate board . So far he doesn t mind and told me on Sat. specifically that his batting helmet is ""not nearly as safe as his ""brain bucket"" ... LOL !!!

Good for Savannah ~~~ it sounds as if she has her ""bampy"" pretty well wrapped around her precious little finger.

My Oldest Got his Braces off today Guess who was there taking pictures LOL Yup Me... And I can not post picture of his braces off til Thursday when His GF will see him.. LOL They are funny.. I said to my son I am so excited for the next two weeks with everything going on... I feel like i am going to the prom lol.. and graduatating lol... He Smiles (with no braces on and says Thatis why you are my mom... big cheesy grin...

Have fun at the game that is so exciting I loved nwatching my kids play baseball... Man they are cute
