i barely got out of bed. i'm at work and the phone rings ...it's rhiana from home. her dad leaves just before she gets on the bus...well this morning there was a ton of drama and she's on the phone crying to me that he yelled at her and she got all upset and threw up. then she missed the bus and is stuck at home all day. i called him to see if he could get her to school to which he started in on me about why she's sitting at home when she threw a fit over some paper she can't find. i just want to cry. no one here understands, i have to work 9.5 hours straight today, and i feel like hell. now my 11 year old is at home alone all day missing school and it's only her second week. the stress of all this has just added to the pain and headache i already have. these lights are killing me...i wanna rip them out of the ceiling. i just want to scream.my hand is killing me and they keep bringing me more shit to type. it's only 9 in the morning and i'm here till 430. i'll likely be crazy by then.

today it's all just too much. this chair is killing my butt and hips, my back is on fire, i can't go home because my car is acting up so i rode to work in Honey's crappy work truck bouncing around like a rag doll. i don't know what to do. i feel like saying i quit and walking out, but where would i go and how would i explain that to Honey? i just don't know if i can do this all day.

Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.- Mother Theresa

I am sorry you are having such a rotten day !!! I remember ""those times"" when daughters/hubby had mornings like this after I had gone to work.

I do hope things turn around for you very soon .

Take care.... Marilyn

I am sorry that things are so bad this early. What you need to do is take a deep breathe in for counting and release slowly counting to 11. Do that and it will make a big difference. It did for me yesterday when I was having a MRI and I have trouble with those. Just remember deep breathe. I wish I could do more for you but this is the only advice I have for you. As far as the chair, have you talked to you employee relations about getting a new chair? They have to my law. The breathing I learn through my councelor.

the breathing does work I do it to,do not give up you will make it through today as you have other days,if you cant get a new chair bring the ugliest pillow you can find and maybe they'll change their mind..your daughter is 11 so she knows how to be at home alone? just check n on her its one day she'll be fine..when everything is comming at you at once it will make you crazy ,work, family ,pain, worry, I understand that over whelming feeling all to well,I had a day like that and this rudiest guy came into where I worked I knew from the moment I saw him he was a jerk and yep I was right he came to my line as rude as he could be (one of those who thinks women are benieth him)my day was bad enough I was on my last straw and he started saying things about how ingnorant we are and blah blah and gave me the dirtiest look like if looks could kill,so I of course gave it back..and the whole time I had a cup of very hot coffee in my hand and I conciderd the options, lucky for him I think he saw it in my face and left..at that point I was ready to be suide for burning him or fired or anything else I had had enough....

You should have reported him because that's is harrassment of the sexual kind (gender). If he keeps it up and HR documents it, he can be out on his (donkey). A woman where I once worked was fired because she kept harrassing me about my religion and I complained about it. In California it just isn't tolerated. And you should document too.

My heart goes out to you, I can only imagine how highly frustrating all this drama can be on top of how those lights effect you, Do you have a pair of glasses that are slighty TINTED to ease some of the glare?

Does the computer screen light effect you too? I have INDOOR glasses for when I am at the computer for long stretches at a time, I sure hope things calm down and the routine sets in at home so this doesn't happen again. And maybe your daughter can benifit having an "INBOX" like you must have at work, so when sh's done with her papers, just pile them in that one box, to keep from losing one...is that helpful at all? And I wish you could get a GEL PILLOW ( from any APOTHOCARY )

to ease that weary discomfort from being in the chair so long at work,

((( I'm hugging you and <Praying for all of your family..and you.>

Cornbread, I am sorry to hear that you are having one of those days so early. Kinda gives you the "Monday morning Blues". Hey, one good thought...tomorrow's FRIDAY! Blessings of light, love, and peace to you. Deep breathe and picture these blessings entering your being as you inhale and all the negative exiting on your exhale. It will be ok. {{{Hugs and Prayers}}} to you.

Wow Cornbread. You've had your fill of nasties for today. Go home and rest tonight. If your work knows about your fibro, they will have to accomadate you with the proper chair and also frequent breaks when your hands are hurting. Let them know that you do have fibro then they can't fire you because of your disability otherwise they can be in for a big disability discrimination law suit.

Today is THURSDAY?? I thought it was Wednesday. Nuts.

Hugs and wishies.

May your troubles be less, Your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door!

Cornbread, I'm sorry you are having such a terrible day today! I know that we can't walk in there and "kidnap" you from work, but hopefully all the of supportive responses I've read so far will bring a little smile to your face. Like I read, tomorrow is Friday!! I know it seems like the day is going to be unending since you still have a few hours to go, and they keep bringing you work, but maybe you can force yourself to get caught up in the work so you won't be watching the clock. Sometimes I have to fight to occupy my brain when the pain and rls sensations get unbearable. Just the other night I was sitting at the computer yet again in the middle of the night waiting for the pain meds to work so I could go back to bed. (getting up for the bathroom is NOT the simple task it used to be when the fibro gets in the way of getting back to sleep!)

I hope you can relax and enjoy your weekend! You sound like you deserve it!!
