MDJunction to me

MisaBlue01"MD Junction has been a safe haven for me. I have met so many caring and understanding people and i don't feel so alone anymore with my bipolar. I now know that others suffer as well and that we need each other for support. I hope that one day we can all learn to love and respect each other more and that no one will have to suffer anymore." Hello to all my fibro family. It has been a while since I have been on here. I have had a very unexpected turn in my health. I was adjusting to the fibro dx when all of a sudden everything turned upside down. Two weeks ago I got what I thought was a realy bad stomach virus, but after three days of throwing up everything I decided to check in with my PCP. On day four I got an appointment. we ruled out my meds because I was so sick I hadn't been able to take them in the 4 days. My PCP ordered several labs and checked me into the hospital for iv rehydration(that was thursday) by Sunday(mothers day) I was still so ill I couldn't eat or drink and I started having chest pain. My husband rushed my to the hospial they take xrays of my abdomine and run more labs. Three more iv full of saline and potassum they send me home. Back to see the PCP on Tuesday they order a ct of my kidneys and try and track down my labs from the hospital. Thursday I get the call with the results from my ct and labs.... It seems that my pancreas and liver both are not longer fuctioning correctly. My urine test show that I am passing large amounts of belirubon(sp). So for now I am off all meds and I go see the GI on Monday. They want another ct of the abdomine with contrast to check for tumors then I guess we will figure out a line of treatment. I must admit I am very scared. My two uncles are fighting liver cancer right now, I know what are the odds of them both having it at the same time. I just pray it is something that can be fixed.
