Does anyone have any advice / techniques on how to seperate emotion from pain? I'd like to learn how to do this for the long term on this disease... I am in pain today, but am trying to keep a happy demenour - any thoughts????
Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

I don't know how helpful it is but I try to find something else to focus on that can be relaxing. Reading is a big one for me and when weather permits hanging out in the pool

a movie, self affirmation, calling someone who makes you giggle... you have beat half of the problem by realizing that they can be separated, and there is an answer, well, there are a bunch of answers... mostly, just realize that you can tell everyone who expect a 'happy demeanor' from you all the time, to kiss you foot!

like snoop said, try to occupy your mind away from the pain, meditation, reading, a hot bath, a book if you can hold it.
