Fibromyalgia Support Group

I was thinking that we should have a Fibromyalgia retreat/conferance/camp? The only thing is I wanted to see if I would be the only one interested in something like this. We could have speakers and different activities...the main thing is we would get to meet each other and encourage one another. Maybe somebody has already thought of this but just putting it out there for comments.

I would be very interested in something like this, just to meet other people with fibro, I live in a very rural area and there are not many people my age who have fibro, there are tons of older people but no one my age.

I would be willing to go to a fibro retreat if for the only thing is to meet all the friends that I have met. But I also agree with tsage, it can not be to expensive.

I also agree it can't be too expensive..but I would love to go somewhere where everyone knows what I am going through, and talking would be so much easier than typing..I spend so much time here my fingers are starting to hurt, LOL

I like the not too expensive idea, guess that leaves Hawaii out.

I can't go anywhere from Jan 1 through May....tax season ya know.

That sounds wonderful!!! I work for a large hotel, out on disabillity right now. I could prob get some real reasonable rates, for whatever we would need from rooms to conferance space, entertainment, banquets. whatever we would need. We have Hotels in Tennessee, Texas, Florida, and DC. The hotels themselves are like a retreat with all the atriums, watrefalls, pools, spa. If we booked it during the down times, I know we could get it real cheap. I could also get some entertainment, and possibly some holisic healers, and massage therapists. Im in!!!! I know that the hotel that I work for has almost 3000 rooms. Let me know.
