MDJunction to me

Joy75"MDJunction to me is a second home. I visit daily to support and get supported. Everyone is so great here. The people are what make this site so
perfect. When someone says I helped them, I feel so good about myself. When
I am down, I come here to talk with my lovely friends. This is a great site
and I’ve come to love it and my friends here. Thank you for making such a
wonderful place to call home!

I'm an Advocate

Just to let you guys know that I'm back after 4 weeks of helping my mother shut down all of my dads belongings of his 72 years of life and of their 53 years of marriage.

What a horrible thing to go through. I cried, and cried and on and on and on and on.......The hardest thing for me was to put the strapping tape on the boxes we were closing. I quickley came to dread the sounds of tearing it lose and closing the box. And then once the box was closed then that made it final. That was extremely tough.

But, anyway we did it. I had only planned to stay 2 weeks but stayed 4 instead. Got home last week. The reason I've not posted since I've been home is I can't stop sleeping!! That has always been a problem for me and I know for many others here. If you do go to sleep it usually is not a rested sleep.

I finally called my doctor and told him I was going to sleep in the middle of sentences, waking up 2 hours later off my desk from paying bills. He asked if I had changed my meds in any way, I told him no.

He said then just sleep. With the PTSD from my dads death and all that involved - he said my mind is trying to catch up on sleep and rest that I had been deprived. Let me tell you guys - I haven't slept this good every single night in probably 10 years. It's wonderful. I wouldn't want to go back through to get through this point, but at least I was blessed with the sleep. While we are on the subject....I'm getting sleepy, so night nightLaughing

Hugs and snores,

Kathy

Welcome Back, I know it had to be so hard for the both of you but at least you did what you needed to do with Mom. Your mom must have loved having you with her. Wink

Sleep tight and sweet dreams!
