I was feeling pretty good by the end of last week. Over the weekend I guess you could say I indulged in some great pizza. The "pizza capital of the world" is a few towns over and let me tell you they have great pizza. So..... the next day I am in a major flare up. Nothing else went wrong. Could the yeast in the pizza have triggered something? I don't eat it often but I think (trying to think past this fibrofog) that last time I ate it the same thing happened. I have given up so much now pizza.....

Two thoughts.

MSG messes me up. Many cheep sausages and other seasoned meats have loads of MSG in them. Also cheep parmesan cheese will be loaded up with MSG.

Next thought. A milk protein alergy. Do you have problems with other dairy products? Any other foods that give you problems? Maybe pizza just has them in greater concentration.

I'd say a thorough and scientific study involving different kinds of pizza from this place is called for. It's a tough job but you can do it.

It could be the pizza; if I eat any type of greasy pizza my pain gets worse, but if it's homemade I'm okay. It's probably different for every person, the same way people tolerate other foods with fibro.

Not all persons with fibro have leaky gut syndrome. Although, more like msg, gluetin, or dairy alergy are more common. I'd have to wait til I feel better then try again to see. I would hate to give up even the occasional pizza.

It sure makes you wonder if it was the Pizza. I read somewhere that it said to decrease yeast in the diet. I'm unable to do so myself. I'm addicted to all carbs!

I sooooo know what you mean about carbs..lol....I think I am a carb! I have seen some comments on whole food or raw/natural diets...how many have had any luck with this? I think I eat pretty healthy, most of the time...of sure I love chocolate now and again, and I dont eat carbs 24/7 but could.
