I have never corrolated these two but since my fibro has worsed in the past 6 years my memory is shot. Long term and short term. Has anyone else had this problem THAT DIDN'T BEFORE??

yup ditto what Malauka said. thyroid disease and fibro simply short circuts a brain.

Boy, I m glad I m not imagining things .

I too battle with a bad thyroid AND Fibro and notice silly things (like memory or sometimes getting my words mixed up when I am talking).

I ve not been sure if it was the thyroid and Fibro or the meds ....

No thyroid condition here... but complete lack of a brain sometimes.

I was trying to explain something to my boss this morning, and had an unbelievable time of it. I also had dental surgery yesterday, so it hurts to talk... so I really got fed up a lot more quickly than normal. Finally, I just said, "do you know what I'm trying to say?" and when he said no, I just said something that said about a third of what I had been trying to say. It kinda got my point across though.

Kristin

I may have fibromyalgia, but fibromyalgia is not me.

Yep,bad thyroid and Fibro equals no brain about half the time. Words missing, thoughts unfinished, inability to spell, forgetting just about everything.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

Yep, yep me too. No tyroid problem though...the inability to spell is the worst..I forget how to spell the most simplest words. I would never make it on the show "Are you smarter then a fifth grader" Thank goodness for the google spell check that dragonfly suggested( i think it was dragonfly... I forget)

Darn, I thought my memory loss was due to old age.

I've had my thyroid checked again and it's a teeny bit low this time.

My Dr said that could be due to me having a virus or something.

Anyhow, she won't put me on thyroid medication unless it gets worse.

My sister has Hashimoto's, my mother, grandmother and aunt have hypothyroidism, my cousin had hers removed, another cousin has Grave's disease, Ya think it runs in the family?
