MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

Yesterday I went to get my iron IV done and They didn't have my folder. So they asked if I could come back another day. So we made another appointment. 20 mins. later as I was getting ready to leave. They find my folder they ask me do want to have the IV done today or come back next week. I said today I'm here now. So we goto the room. They never can start a IV the first try so after the fourth pick they go it. Then I took 2 1/2 hrs. for the IV to get done. The manerger of the IV clinic came in to I room I said she was sorry and she would like to pay for lunch for me and my step son. He was with me the whole time. He is 10 and was crying he was bored the whole time. So I took the free lunch. The hospital has great food in the restaurant so we spent $ 10 for lunch. Today on my arm were I had the IV I have a blood spot under the skin about 4in. by 3in. but it not hurt. So thats a good thing. Thanks for being hear so I have one to vent to.Smile

It was nice that they offered you the lunch as some sort of compensation. One of the hospital over in another town has excellent food. Our local hospatial is so so.Sometimes they try some really weird combinations.

How long will you have the spot under your skin? Did they blow a vein?

Hope you are having a good day today.

I know its only blood under the skin, I don't know how long I will have it. I think its becouse the way she put it out of the vein.

I got the blood spot under my skin with my last blood work. It acts like a bruise and eventually fades away. I think it depends on how they take the needle out. I'm glad that someone had compasion enough to offer you guys a free lunch.
