Hello Everyone!

Does anyone else have the problem of feeling like your arms are going to fall off? My arms hurt, particularly my upper arms, but what is really bothering me is shoulder pain right where the arms connects to my body. I'm a legal secretary (type, type, type, file, file, file, shuffle paper, sort paper, type some more as fast as you can to get pleadings filed on time 'cause the boss waited 'til the last minute! ) Anyway, enough whining for now. I just wondered if anyone else has that kind of pain.

Going to see my rheumy this afternoon but he's trying to determine whether I have arthritis. Doesn't really care about the FM.

Thanks for listening!

HOLY MOLY! You read my mind! I keep telling my husband "It hurts where my arms connect into my body" I find it hard to drive sometimes or talk on the phone. I am a loan officer, so I am on the computer also. For example: right at this moment, it's hurting me to hold my arms up to type. My shoulders are killing me and if I don't rest they start to burn. I am not happy you have this symptom but I am happy that someone else knows what I am talking about. By the way, I took a pain pill about an hour ago and it has not even made a dent in the pain.Blink

Yep. I have impingement syndrome and rotar cuff tendinitis(chronic) along with partial dislocations. It is wise to check for arthritis and such as well.

What is a Thera Cane? I never heard of this and would like to know more. I too have pain in my arms, neck, shoulder and its a constant pain. Especially at night while in bed. And as the day goes on, my head feels like it weighs a ton.

Theracane is a self massager. Type it in your search box and you will find sites to check it out on.

Sorry to hear of the problems you are having, and yes!, I totally get what you mean about where your arms to into your body. I get lots of pain there, and in the tendons across my shoulders going to my neck.

If your Dr. doesn't get serious about the FMS, you may want to find a dr. who will. While arthritis meds may inadvertantly help with the fibro, you will need something more specfic for that. Sadly, too many docs don't understand FM, and some don't even believe it exists.Blink

Best of luck with your appt. and hope you get some relief soon.Smile
