This time it's one of my drinking buddies. A guy who was always so happy to see me that it always made me happy to see him, even if he made jokes about me being a hypochrondriac. I worried about him because you never saw him eat. A bite of bisquit, one or two fries. He drank a lot of vodka and took a lot of vicodin. So much that I tried to get him to ask his doctor to switch him to something without acetomeniphen. His son met his landlord (another of his friends) at the bar, then down to see if he was at home. No one had heard from him in several days. His son found him dead in his bed.

I'm sad. I'd left him a message Monday that I missed seeing him at the bar.

It's just now sinking in.

Wow, the third shoe has dropped. Why don't I feel any better?

thank you Natalia. I decided the only way I could say goodbye to my friend was with vodka, so called a friend who gave me a ride down to the bar. Every woman who knew my friend was crying. He was a flirt and also I think a daddy substitute to a lot of the younger girls. It's like losing one of the family for a handful of us. He hadn't looked well for a time and pretty much kept to himself altho he made it to the bar. One of the bartenders spoke to him on Monday &no one heard from after that, His son came looking for today & rhe bartender had his landlords phone number. He met the son at my friend's apartment. The son found him dead in his bed. I'm glad he passed on in his own bed, but I'm so sorry he's dead. I'm going miss him.

I was actually completely numb until I got to the bar and found two of the bartender's crying. Every woman who came in there and a couple of the men were crying. George was Navy, same as me. He's been stationed on Guam, same as me. He was about 12 years older though. We were the only liberals who were regulars at the bar. He was quite an Oregon Duck so I have found memories of watching games between George and my ex-bf. I forget what we were watching but I also remember watching something one veteran's day. Navy on my right, Marine on my lft. Whatever it was we were watching the two of them were passionate about. It was really fun whatever event it was. George always got my jokes. I'm so going to miss him.

Rayn, Heart plus prayers plus healing energy go out to you right now sweetheart. George sounded like a special guy so understand why you are very saddened by his passing. Take comfort in your memories, in the fact that he will not truly die until everyone who loved him has died too, take comfort in us all here too- lean on your friends.

Angels surround you right now honey.

Much love to you friend, mega gentle hugs your friend Clarita
