Have you ever wondered why women have mustache hair? I know this has nothing to do with FM but it's kind of a nice diversion from reality.

So anyways, if your lite skinned you don't have any idea what I'm talking about unless you came across a hairy women while out and about. But I'm mexican. I don't have a thick hairy upper lip. But I am aware of the hair. Hence the painful waxing.

But really there is no reason for women to have mustache hair. I think God just has a sense of humor. But I don't find it funny. Dizzy

Wow...lol, that sure was off topic Wink A refreshing change of pace Wink God really does have a sense of humor, but it seems that most of the jokes are on women Dizzy We would have some much more extra time if we didn't have our high maintenance girlie stuff to deal with Wink

I wonder for a small area like that if it would be expensive to do laser hair removal. Then eventually it wouldn't have to be done anymore right?

Strange that you mention it. Clint and I have had this conversation before. Kind of. Actually, our discussion was about how women seem to be getting hairier while men seem to be losing more hair.

If you really pay attention, you quickly figure out that half the men in Hollywood are either wearing toupes ro they're doing the flocking thing. And I have seen some hairy women, too.

Clint used to have manly, hairy legs that I was quite fond of. They actually run him so bad at work, though, that the hair rubbed off the backs of his calves! Their less hairy than mine! Smooth as a baby's bottom.

And I have noticed the older I get, the hairier I get, but it's still fine blond hair that you can't see unless you really look for it. And fact, I haven't plucked my eyebrows in a couple of years and I barely have any eyebrows at all!

We also have armpit and leg hair that we have to just shave off anyway all the flippin time. Is it because Eve ate the apple? Is God torturing us with hair? Tongue

I could cut my showering/beauty routine down sooo much if I didn't have to shave, or go to the salon for waxing depending on what I feel like. Come to think of it, I could save money too on shaving supplies/waxing, shaping, threading, salon expenses...

Oh Eve, why THAT apple Smile

My eyebrows are wandering all over my forehead and all the way down to my (thin and straight) eyelashes! Then they're trying to do a unibrown thing as well, and they're getting long and shaggy. So not only do I have to wax my forehead and pluck my brows, but I also have to trim them with scissors. Towards the outside they're turning white so once I finish all that trimming, tweezing and waxing, I have to draw them back on. Talk about time consuming!!

Then there's the moustache. Since I live alone, I can sit on the couch and blindly pluck away a couple of times a week. Then search with my fingers for the whiskers on my chin. My brother can't grow a beard and moustache, how come I can?

Don't even get me started on the leg hair...I grossed the guys out at the SB party when someone mentioned how warm it's been. I said, "Damn, winters over? I guess it's time to shave my legs". All the women laughed and concurred Smile

What is hirsutism?

Hirsutism (say: her-soot-ism) is a condition in which too much hair grows on the face or body in women.

It is one of the symptoms of thyroid problems. If you are having a problem with it lately I would suggest you get your doctor to check your levels because thyroid problems seem to co-exist with fibro a lot.

I'm a natural blonde but I still have the mustache-sorta. Not like dark haired women, of course. My daughter asked me why my eyebrows are so hard to see. Blonde. I never gave it a thought before she mentioned it. Now I'm constantly looking at them and realizing how stupid they look. Smile My sister does not shave her legs. She says it helps to keep her socks up. lol She used to say she wanted to join a commune since the women never shaved their armpits and legs. Wow, what a reason to join. haha I like this off topic. Smile

During Christmas break my girls and I would have a contest to see who could grow longer leg hair. We didn't have to shave because there was no school so there was no gym. It was thebest time to do our "experiment". Then on new years day we would pick the winner and have a leg shaving party. So we had way too much time on our hands. lol But it was fun.

Hey gals,

You've all seen the informercials, well there is a tiny little razor out in the stores that work really good for mustache and chinny-chin hair...I've used it for years and hair doesn't come in any thicker than originally had and so much more less pain then waxing or plucking.....and for my legs and underarms since diabetic really can't shave so I bought one of those circle things that you just go over area's in circles and it actually takes away hair and no need for shaving or waxing, takes a little longer than shaving since my arms tire so easily but does a really nice job and arms and legs are so very, very smooth, no nubbies and lasts for up to 6 weeks without having to do it again.....The pad set runs like $10. and can always get new pads when run out and I think for like 10 pads runs $10 but they last like for ever......
