Okay...last one due to technical problem...

fibroforever, I hope you're able to identify the cause of your shoulder pain and that you find some relief soon. It sounds as if your fibro diagnosis was accurate, but that doesn't rule out other conditions.

I went to a ortho specialist because my right shoulder had hurt so bad. The did a MRI and bone was hitting bone and I have bad arthritis in their. The surgery was easy. He made three small holes in the shoulder so you can't see where the surgery was. After the surgery I had to go to PT and he was the one that worked wonders on my shoulder. He use japanese tape and the first I walked out feeling better. My shoulders have arthritis bad that I can barely use my arm, and arthritis in my legs so I can barely use those. Do you have arthritis?

You know as well as I do that its not in your head!!! So if you shoulder pain is not caused by fibro then what is it caused from? Go see that surgeon and see if he can give you some insight to why your shoulder's hurt! Maybe their is another reason a maybe they will be able to fix it. Wouldn't it be great to have your shoulders not hurt anymore.

About the antidepressants your reumy wants you to take, take them!! I don't think they are going to make your shoulders quit hurting but atleast maybe they will give you peace of mind that your pain is not in your head and you'll be able to tell him so.

HUGS!!

Lori- It was the rheumy who asked me about trying all those antidepressants. And yeah- I've tried them. I'm now on Effexor. But tried all the others. That's the part that made me feel that he was thinking it was all in my head.

I know he doesn't really feel that way. Because he's the one that has been backing me on the SSD. But... I just still feel bad and sad.

So we are being treated for depression which causes pain. Then we are being treated for Fibromyalgia and what does that cause pain. Either way you have pain that needs to be taken care of!
