Thanks for the link. If I don't like this rheumy, I will go back to my primary care doc who I do like. But, to be honest he wants to blame everything on the thyroid issues and not really treat the pain I am having or give it a name.

I don't think he thinks I am imagining it, but I think he may think I am exaggerating. And, of course we all know that isn't the case.

Unfortunately, there is no definitive test for fibro. As other members mentioned, the rheumatologist should check for tender points, rule out other conditions, evaluate your medical history, and then make a diagnosis. My rheumatologist is wonderful. I hope you found a good one...Please let us know how it goes.

Do you think there is much of a chance I'll get some diagnosis on the first visit? I do have results of sed rate, CK, ANA and CBC as well as thyroid panels from my primary care doc to take with me.
