IMCCLUR,

I HAVE A BROTHER A YEAR YOUNGER THAN ME AND A SISTER A YEAR OLDER THAN I, THEY BOTH HAVE MS. I HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND SO FAR SO I'm OK. I HAVE 2 OTHER SISTERS AND THEY ARE OK ALSO. BUT THE NUEROLOGIST SAID MS IS HEREDITARY BETWEEN SIBLINGS BUT NOT PASSED ON FROM PARENTS. NO ONE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE FAMILIES HAS EVER HAD MS, SO NO ONE KNOWS WHERE IT COMES FROM. THEY WERE TOLD AN EVENT ALSO SETS OFF MS ALSO. MY SISTER WAS TOLD HERS WAS SET OFF FROM A SEVERE SINUS INFECTION, MY BROTHERS I THINK WAS SET OFF FROM CATCHING HIS HEAD OFF A TREE BRANCH WHEN HE WAS MOWING GRASS AND ENDED UP HAVING TO GET STITCHES IN HIS HEAD. IT IS ALSO ONE OF THOSE ODD THINGS. TAKE CARE

JOAN

I had an incredibly excellent and competent doctor when I was diagnosed with fibro (I had to switch doctors unfortunately). He checked my c-spine, nerve conduction, etc. He took allllllll kinds of blood tests too before he sent me to a rheumatologist. The rheumatologist took x-rays of my entire body to ensure I don't have arthritis.

Pretty much everything else was ruled out in a ddition to the fibro being diagnosed between my pcp at the time and the rheumatologist. I trust my old pcp's judgment completely.

recovered26, you had your c-spine checked. I wonder how many others have had that checked? Mine is messed up, that is why I can not turn my head to the right and I cant tilt my head back to look all the way up. I have no curve to my c-spine.
